imo it will never die

140 M$ capitalizations shows that is not dead.
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

If we can find some use for LTC, it will not die.

I'd say that this problem is for Bitcoin as well - think of how little the amount of things You can buy with it is now.

The 2nd place will be lost in a year or two if LTC does not make itself different from BTC.

LTC is not innovative and the whole time losing one advantage - its date of creation.
In my opinion even DOGE is better than LTC because has greater and better community. It's a matter of time when LTC will lose 2nd place.

Why would anyone even consider buying LTC. The only advantage it used to have is faster block generation time and now its all history.

The 2.5 m block generation is not fast enough for real time transaction. Nobody is building a fast wallet system for centralized transaction processing for LTC.

BTC is everywhere. ATMs in many countries, thousands of articles every day, biggest community, sometimes info in TV/newspapers etc.
If someone think about crypto-currency - think about BTC... Wink

It got pumped last night at the same time bitcoin got pumped, but I admit it's lost a lot of value this year.
