One of the great things about CANN is that patients in Arizona can purchase their marijuana at a 99.9% discount right as soon as CANNdy is released for sale.

People need to understand the dev doesn't literally need 70 million grams of weed for the price to reflect it, it just needs the speculative value. You think the US dollar's value or any other nation's currency is backed just on the 1:1 assets the US government owns for instance?

The backing is just a support structure for a broader real-world use currency, this makes more sense than giving a billion dollar valuation to Litecoin for instance just because it was Bitcoin with a scrypt algo.

You're implying that everyone would try and exchange their CANN for marijuana all at once.

LTC went to $48 or so, based on NO PEG. Was that a fantasy? NO!
SYNC is trading at BTC prices...actually varies between .9 and 1.1 BTC. Again, not a fantasy.
