@CarlesPuyol
PRC does exist for way longer than all these new clones. There is more to it than just dice too. Check out www.pocketrocketscasino.eu . Poker, Open Face Chinese, Blackjack, Sports Betting and new games coming up.
Dice is just popular right now after JD closed. There really is no better place to dice than PRC now, objectively. Feel free to compare.

The referrals currently don't do anything, but if someone enters you as referral it will be noted for some possible future promotion etc.

It's back now. We can ask bazza when he's on.
But it's not been 2 days really. I think it just doesn't like it when the server gets restarted for updates.

@dooglus do you support prcdice?

I don't have an opinion either way.

I have played and invested there a little, but have done neither for a while now.

I considered joining the PRC signature campaign since I'm not using my signature for anything, but that would make it look like I endorse the site, and I don't feel like I know enough about it to do that. I heard an ugly rumour that the whole thing runs on a Windows server which is kind of scary when handling money. But I doubt that's true.

I've almost missed doog's MS hate. Cheesy

No seriously, I'm also not known for being a friend of MS, but the only thing that could potentially get compromised is the hotwallet, which is insured by Dean's personal funds.
The vast majority of funds is in the coldwallet.

@FastBluff: Stay away from our campaign and our threads. Quite a few users have shown me your pm's. By the way, those are written like cheap scam mails by the prince of nigeria himself.
(Story: He pm'd the posters in our threads trying to get em to move with a really fishy message. That's not only lame, but really lacks a lot of class. At least try to do your crap in public.)

So the server seeds are stored somewhere secure?

If someone gets hold of their server seed, it doesn't matter whether the funds are in hot or cold storage; they will win them eventually and attempt to withdraw them. It will be hard to detect that it has happened, and you'll be stuck with a hard decision of whether to allow the attacker to slowly drain your cold wallet or not.

Doog how can you protect server seeds?

Keep them somewhere where nobody who you don't trust has access to them, basically.

I wouldn't use Windows to store my own personal Bitcoin wallet, let alone the seeds to the entire bankroll of a dice site.

But maybe I'm just biassed against Windows because of all the times it has let me down in the past, idk.

Also a question, I heard that window stuff was vurnible to be stuck down if you knew the right people and was possible to be exploited if you knew the right people, is this that confirmation?

This is just a site that tries to determine what a server is running based on its responses to various queries.

While it's possible that there are security holes in Windows that would allow "striking down" or exploiting of a server (just as is the case for any other OS), this is not confirming any such thing.

All this is saying is that it looks like the PRCDice server is running IIS, the Microsoft webserver.

Not to beat a dead horse, but was the Sjess exploit the same exploit as the previous user who won around 30 BTC? The two sound awfully similar, even though they happened like two months apart?

I don't know that there were two separate exploits. The sjess thing was maybe a month ago.

Someone (Road2Something) has won ~30 BTC recently, but I've not seen it suggested that he was using an exploit; he was probably just lucky.

because the site is clearly dead. i was one of the original people who was going to buy it, and it was going for just over 1 BTC for the whole package. i find everything about it a bit strange, and even more strange that you're trying to pinch users from PRC, a site that is quite clearly not dead and doesn't need to implore shady tactics to drag people onto a dead site

go post on your own thread and good luck with your website. this thread is not the place for you

Dean, what do you think about implementing a feature that allows the user to filter the "All bets" tab?
(something like just-dice used to have where you can specify a minimum amount a bet has to have
in order to be displayed)

-> I think many users would enjoy following the big action without being distracted by the
millions of dustbets  Grin
