I'm seeing 1 satoshi difference between my balance as displayed while dicing and on the 'account' page:

Is my balance stored as a floating point number, and rounded in different directions on the two different pages? Or why is it different?

I tried reloading both pages, but the difference persists.

You're a funny man.

I just figure that having rounding errors in money amounts is a bad idea, generally. Better to use integers and get it right.

The balances are stored with more than 8 digits precision. The betting page rounds down and it seems the other page is rounding up. I'll get that sorted.

Don't you think 1% of overall loss, very low affiliate commission.
Some site giving 0.1% to 0.2% of overall wagering.

Overall wagered would be batshit crazy. Some people already have thousands of bitcoin wagered, but only lost a tiny bit to the investors.
This would never run stable and I strongly believe any site doing that must have limits in place.

A single player could flat bet big amounts all day long and generate hundreds of bitcoins of affiliate losses while only actually losing a few!

House edge is 1%, commission 10% of that. So site only earns 0.1% of overall wagering (if there is no variance), impossible to give all of that or even double. Only way to make that sustainable is if the house edge or commission is more, or if there is no investment method and the house earns all the profits. Current affiliate commission seems fair to me.

It depends on the amount in the rainjar.
The rainbot runs on donations.

Currently its about 1 tx fee every 8 minutes. Hail got up to 0.01 BTC.

Dean regularly donates and a lot of other people also donate parts of their winnings.

"What happened to our investment profits?"

"Nothing."

That must have hurt a little bit.

A couple of minutes after that session finished, a player on DB called "Odds" who had been on the site for a few days without making any crazy bets made a single bet of 11.xxxxxxxx BTC at 49.5% and lost.

If I had to guess I would say it was the same person as this "Nothing" in a last attempt to recover some of their losses.

Yup that was "Nothing". He has been really lucky on PRC the past 2 days. He made 34 BTC from 8 BTC, then at the ended when he came down to 11 BTC, he YOLOed it. Could have tried to make it back the same way as before, rather than doing that.

Well, on the bright side, he has only made a net loss of just 8 btc rather than 11 btc or even 34 btc. Tongue
