wow Doog, hahaha!

I played a little more:

I also wrote a stand-alone roll verifier in Python:

http://pastie.org/9435574

Use it however you like, or don't. Smiley

I withdrew 27 BTC. It wasn't instant, but I saw it on the network within 5 minutes of requesting it.

All in all not a bad experience, and the provable fairness checks out:

This is completely normal. There is a small hotwallet for instant withdrawals and if it's depleted or the withdrawal is too big it is manually processed.
Dean will do it when he comes on.

How small is it?

I read somewhere that 90% is offline. Doesn't that mean 10% should be online? That would be around 70 BTC.

Instead of trolling you could try logic.

Storing the funds in a cold wallet is way safer and protects investors.
It's possible to divest anytime and manual withdrawals are done in <12h.
The hotwallet is insured.

Whenever someone point out your flaw u call him a troll. That is in your nature.

By the way, u dodged the obvious question that Dooglus raised against which I made the post. There should be 70 btc in your hot wallet as per your own claim. Why is not it there ?

I call those guys trolls that obviously troll in most of their posts.
Check out 'sed' for how a reasonable user would ask critical questions.
Props to him again.

And I haven't dodged anything, in fact I've asked Dean already about how he handles the wallets currently. I'm 100% sure this is fine and he just limits the hotwallet for security reasons.

Road has withdrawn tons of coins, doog did 27? I think. Investors have deposited and withdrawn lots. Should be clear by now.

I will come back to doog and the general public in regards to wallets though in case Dean doesn't post himself.

AFAIK all deposit addresses are still cold. That "1 cold wallet address" is only to show it in 1 address. So there is a high possibility more than 90% is cold.

PRC hit 5 million bets this morning (BTC and DOGE). Over 4.3 million BTC bets though, and real bets from real people. Not bots blasting satoshis all day to inflate bet amounts like I see on many other small dice sites.

I think everyone (except the obvious trolls) understand that this is in fact an advantage (due to better security).

However I think many investors / whales are maybe scared what happens with the coins on PRCDice if
something happens to Dean (of course I hope that he will a long life ... but sometimes a life can end very fast
and unexpected -> e.g. an accident).

Is there some kind of "dead-mans-switch" solution?

-> a script that triggers all withdrawals if Dean does not login for a certain period of time
-> a third person (maybe you PRC_May) that could trigger withdrawals just in case something happens to Dean
...

A (positive) answer to these concerns would definitely lead to an increase in investments and player deposits in my opinion.
I do have some coins at your site, but I would really increase my investment if I would knew that I would also
receive my coins if something happens to Dean  Smiley

There is a "dead-mans-switch" in place. The details on how it works are not public.
On your account page you can set an emergency address. In case anything terrible happens the funds will be sent there. Just like back on JD.

I strongly advise everybody to set an emergency address. I think Doog said that there have been a few accounts with funds that didn't when JD shut down.

Hope this answers your questions.

Cheers

Doog was just checking if the roll results are generated exactly as it should be...
And that 5 numbers generated from the python code match with the last 5 bets in doog's printscreen. Smiley

can you explain why exactly this is proof for provable fairness?
(basically the meaning of the generated numbers)

Here's what I did:

1) made a note of my server seed hash, as shown on the provably fair tab

2) made up a random client seed

3) played some rolls

4) requested a new server seed, revealing the old one

5) ran my script, which:

  a) checked that the server seed's hash in 1) matches the hash of the server seed in 4)

  b) checked that the client seed in 2) and the server seed in 4) combine to give the exact numbers I rolled in 3)

The generated numbers are the numbers I got when I rolled the dice.

The 5 steps above guarantee that the site had no way of picking which numbers I rolled (since step 2 happened after step 1) and that they actually used the client seed I provided.

It's a little complicated, but it does work.

In the event that I had a run of horrible rolls, I would much rather be able to check that I really was just unlucky rather than harbouring doubts about the site being "rigged". Bad runs happen, and so does cheating. The above process allows you to tell which is which.

"High Roller" tab has been added. Really nice feature, and helps you find out who's causing the big profit swings. Looks like one dicer had some bad luck this morning  Embarrassed
