Also I'd be interested on any new info from Bitmain regarding p2pool support. The last word was that they were looking into it and it might be a couple of weeks away. Hopefully a plan has firmed up and will this feature will be available in a firmware update soon.

I'd like to hear more about this as well...

How is p2pool support coming Bitmain?

EVGA SuperNOVA 1000G2 1000W ATX12V/EPS12V 80Plus Gold Power Supply 120-G2-1000-XR

$164

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CGYCNG2/

might not not be enough for 2 S3 ants at max overclock of 554Gh

Max overclock is 554GH/s? But i suppose thats risky, right? better OC to a lower value maybe...??

When you guys have them, please post parameters for overclocking and how much GH/s u get and how much power they take

I have a 1000w gold supply and I plan to overclock to about 400w each s3, so that leaves good headroom and may pull about 510gh/s I reckon.  Max overclock will possibly increase the wattage by quite a bit so, to do that your better off going for a 1300w gold.

400w-->510GH/s u think its the best option then?

If you have alt currency (doge etc) then use exchange,  otherwise I'm afraid direct from bitmain its BTC only.

However! other resellers may take different methods of payment.

IT would help if bitmain did not write BITCOIN MINER as custom description....

Thats true, but I wouldnt want to be on the other side of that, "falsifying information on an import into the country".   Undecided

"Data processing unit" that's not falsification.

My recent order of a Gridseed unit came with "Heatsink Sample" as the description.

I didnt have all the BTC i needed for paying 2 units, so i bought the rest using localbitcoins, you just pay a few more EUR for it, and you have it within minutes Smiley cheaper than paying 599 EUR for 1 unit on other resellers...

You had mentioned prior that previous buyers of Antminer S1 and S2 miners would be able to upgrade. Can you provide any details on the upgrade pricing/process?

I am interested in learning more about the s1 and s2 upgrade kits as well.

Interested as well.
Will you have an upgrade kit for the S1 and will there be a minimum order requirement for those too?

Indeed, please let us S1 owners know if we can upgrade Shocked)

My S1 will stop being profitable very soon Shocked(

Either you pay horrendous $/kwh prices or you definition of soon is not the same as mine, besides if diff keeps skyrocketing fast enough to obsolete the S1 that quickly then why even bother upgrading since the S3 will under those circumstances not be profitable.

I also read somewhere in here a while back that "gaming gateway" or "gaming gateway server" or something to that effect was used by one ot the S1 resellers (I think).

I mean, payment of a dollar / local currency.
but there is only available payment via BTC.
S3 is not the same as S2, S2 can be purchased using dollars.

I'm planning on running my initial 2 S3's on a Corsair PSU.  If I get a AX1200i will I be able to over-clock them to the max of 554GH/s on a single AX1200i?
