Applications will be processed when Lucky Bit is running again; accepted applications will be retroactively applied, as always.
Thanks, so can I re-apply? You can, but applications will be processed in the order received. I can't guarantee positions to anyone or process applicants while Lucky Bit is down; you've got quite the queue ahead of you.

Technically, applications can be processed from information on the blockchain, correct? Or is there something I am missing here? Do you need some information on past registrations/history which you can't access because the luckybit server is down?

Technically, yes. In reality this is true as well - I verify almost everything on the blockchain and the public information is verifiable without the Bet Browser. However, the Bet Browser is vital to my job since it contains full and organized data about the individual bet, not just the sending transaction, and acts as a sanity check for me against making a mistake while processing an application. (Yes, applications made with a blockchain link are more difficult to process.) I consider it a core step for processing applications to verify every application on both Lucky Bit and the blockchain; this is actually a preliminary step taken during the background check. This does mean, unfortunately, that applicants have to wait to be verified, since I don't have the related data provided by the Bet Browser to check against. This is especially important now that the minimum bet was recently increased - I can't immediately discern if a 0.001 BTC transaction is an eligible bet or not. Everyone's applications will be processed in order and retroactively applied; this actually creates a very unusual case where a slot might technically be occupied by two people at the same time - applications made before slots were available will be eligible to retroactively take those slots, since they will be processed while the slots were open, meaning new applicants will be qualified for slots that hadn't vacated yet. Confused? Imagine how I feel! The upshot is, if there are enough slots after Lucky Bit comes up, all applicants have a chance to get them - even if they applied before the slot was available!Don't worry about your bet expiring before the engine comes back; it can't. If you placed a bet that wasn't processed because the engine is down, it will still be qualified as long as it was confirmed (on the blockchain) between 7 days before and 2 hours after your application.

Ha ha. It means if somebody registers as soon his payment gets processed, his slot could still be taken away from him. Hypothetical question - If luckybit comes back up and somebody's payment in the signature campaign is due, what do you do first? Process past applications or make payment for the day? It would make a difference to who gets the slot.

Hypothetical question - If luckybit comes back up and somebody's payment in the signature campaign is due, what do you do first? Process past applications or make payment for the day? It would make a difference to who gets the slot. How about we step it up with a very real possibility: what if I'm asleep when Lucky Bit comes up and I have payments due when I awaken? Answer: I will do what I always do, which is applications first. This will restrict time-travelling enrollments to the time period that Lucky Bit is down. It also preserves the application/payment cycle of the campaign in the future.

Cheers!

Why you guys kick people after payment? Having to re-enroll every month is a pain in the ass. If the poster is doing a good work and posting normally, why the need to re-apply?

I've run this campaign using this method for 8 months now. The purpose is to not offer preference to existing participants, and allow as many people as possible equal opportunity to enroll. Offering re-enrollment preference or reservations effectively locks out people that may want to participate. This method offers the most chances to the most people.

So it's fair. How else would newcomers get in otherwise? If you wanted to join now you likely wouldn't be able to under your suggested rules. I think most campaigns - especially the fixed rate ones - are run on a month-by-month basis where you have to re-enroll anyway.

Well, you need not stick to it just because you were doing it till now. Most successful campaigns retain the good participants, and open the remaining slots for new participants. Of course, existing participants can leave when they want leaving up more spots. You know, building customer loyalty.. Change of plan, folks.
It's taking longer than expected for the site to come up which means it's basically impossible to apply right now. Since this is the case, it only makes sense for me to close the program to new enrollments until this is all cleared up.
All outstanding applications are invalidated. No new applications will be accepted at this time. Everyone will get a fair chance to enroll once I can re-open - at last word, this is expected to be about 3 days away.
Prior enrollments are not affected.
