Hi folks!
I am on NavCoin Core Version v4.0.0.0-7da8565-dirty (64-Bit) / Win7 Home 64

I use it since three days, let me report my "stats" so far.

Under 24H i got the first stake.
Under 48H i got splitted stakes already.
Today i got another stake, just one, but a higher amount then the other days. (not in total, but nearly:))

Imho everything is fine, i have 0 problems with NAV and the new wallet.
I hope you get it up... so far the wallet isn't the problem on Win 7 64 bit if you ask me?!

But i had no NAV wallet before on this OS. Wink

To those who have problems and a safe backup, that's what i would try:
Just delete everything and reload the wallet from http://navcoin.org/downloads/ and install again etc.
Reload is fast, took me about 9hours.

No you do not need the old config file. If you just follow the tutorial I put up you are good to go.

The issues that seem to be around are mostly:

- Impatient users, stakes can take some time. The less Nav Coin you stake the longer it can take. Be patient atleast 48 hours.
- Firewall settings. The number of connections is often limited by your network settings. Having 8 connections is no problem, you will stake normal.

How do I get the 4.0 wallet to retry importing my 3.0 wallet? It crashed the first time.

Delete your data folder and start wallet again.

Crashed again the same way.

Here's the end of the debug.log file:

Is there a problem with the ssd/hdd?  Seems very strange. What system configuration doyou use?

I don't have any problems with my SSD. If I don't import my 3.0 wallet, the new 4.0 wallet syncs fine and no problems. The issue seems to be when I start from scratch and import my 3.0 wallet.

I'm on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.4.

Do you have enough free space on your hard drive?

Over 380 GB of free space.

I was about to tell u what an Idiot you are and that mine only uses 300-350 mb of memory last I checked 3 days ago , but just to be safe I double checked it today and BOOM 2247 mb of memory in use more then Double of what the old memory hog wallet did over a year ago.

Now for some unexplainable reason it dropped back down to 84 mb , maybe it just uses that much while during sync ? still not good but that's about as close to an explination as ive gotten so far.

The Wheels Keep on Turning at Nav Coin HQ

It really has been a massive week for Nav Coin this week. We have seen the release of our 4.0.0 Core wallet, NAVTech 1.1 and the NavPi from the development team. Alongside our great new website, Q1 press release and the social media competition from by our awesome new marketing team.

We have moved a lot of projects from in progress to completed and have also started on our next batch of projects.

You can have a look at what we’ve ticked off here:

http://navcoin.org/project-roadmap/#completed

Alex has begun work on our full suite of Mobile & Web Wallets based on the Copay source code. Copay is an amazing javascript based wallet which will provide us with a great platform to build our Nav Coin wallets on top of.

Victor is going to look at improving our NavPi, streamlining the interface and improving performance. This means a full redevelopment using Angular2 served by NodeJS.

Guy is comparing supplier options for sourcing and supplying NAV branded NavPi units on the Nav Coin Store. These will ship with the image pre-loaded onto the memory card so all you will need to do is plug them in and send the coins.

Craig is busy preparing to present his talk “Exploring Private Cryptocurrencies” for the Bloktex conference this weekend in Kuala Lumpur. Once he gets back from KL, he will begin to work rebuilding the Subchain aligning it with the new core code base. This will mean restarting that blockchain and is a vital step toward integrating the Subchain into the Nav Coin wallet.

If you’re near KL, you should definitely head along to the conference: http://bloktex.com

Kieren has been largely focused on helping with the Q1 release schedule since being onboarded. He has been a huge help with our new website, the Q1 press releases and also our very successful social media campaign. With that pressure off, the marketing team can now refocus on the wider branding message and marketing strategy. The first step is to formalise a marketing roadmap and present our marketing plan.

You can see all the things we’ve started this week here:

http://navcoin.org/project-roadmap/#in-progress

We may have been a bit quieter than usual this week online due to the team having a couple days of hard earned rest after our successful (but very demanding) Q1 launch. As you can see, we still have made a lot of progress and as always, the wheels keep turning at Nav Coin HQ.

We have a lot of great projects in the works and lots of amazing things lined up for the rest of the year. So stick around and come on this journey with us.

Talk soon,
Nav Coin Team
