Guys I have a problem with the NAVcoin wallet. I sent today 5000 NAV on bittrex and the coins have not come. According to https://chainz.cryptoid.info/nav/#!rich I have 2000 NAV less than I have currently on my wallet. Actually it is 7000 NAV less, because these 5000 NAV did not come. Backup wallet I did when I had even less coins, so I do not know what to do. I will add that I have version v3.9.0.0-UT wallet.

UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM TO 4.0.1.1

and then re send your coins.

thanks. I didn't make a backup wallet before sending coins so after update 5000 NAV (which I sent) be lost ??

Guys by now everybody should move to 4.0.1.1...

If you are in 3.9 you are not in the right chain

note: blockexplorer needs to update their info.

Also Anon servers are in 3.9 so don't do anon send till this is updated...

The block explorer https://chainz.cryptoid.info could also be on the wrong chain.
I don't see my tx ids after 16 April.

No, they should still be there. If you were in the 3.9 wallet your wallet.dat with the 5000 coins will be in the NAVcoin2 folder. The 4.0 wallet.dat is in the NAVcoin4 folder. You can replace this. The video shows how to make a backup: https://navtechservers.com/tutorials/Full-Node/

Wait... so after 4.x there was a forked chain too? And now both chains are moving? That is very bad.

Just move to 4.0.1.1 and all is fine. Don't know about how it all works but I know 4.0.1.1 is working perfect.

I am on the latest client but still want to know. This could create complications if the wallets are not compatible. It was never explicitly stated

Blockchain explorer is showing 4.0.1.1

Now, it's the turn of Coinomi. I sent them a ticket requesting them to update their wallets as well but feel free to do it too!

Edit: Coinomi is working fine now.

Of course it's a problem, bspus he is right.

Previously the block explorer was synchronized on the original mainchain 3.x,
just like me. Wink

Now, the BE is on the new wallet fork (4.x), but if the block explorer is also
right on the existing nodes, then about 60% of the active nodes still follows
the original mainchain (3.x), a different fork not compatible with the new.

For myself, I dug a little into debug.log and it seems the point that has sprung forks,
(in my case) is born from the block at height 970172, hash
2b51ed1791793445b12ddf632f8a7e298874cd1dca74923d2554d38094dd0cd1
for the following reasons:
"
ERROR: CheckBlock() : block timestamp earlier than transaction timestamp
ERROR: ProcessBlock() : CheckBlock FAILED
Misbehaving: 2.87.177.211:44440 (0 -> 50)
ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK 0, prev=2b51ed1791793445b12ddf632f8a7e298874cd1dca74923d2554d38094dd0cd1"
"

Evidently the new wallet forget to check out one of the rules, which together
with the other, govern the NavCoin blockchain, and accepted a malformed block.

A block with similar characteristics, but more recently it also happened later:
height = 975860  hash 69fb3392a4bcf11fe75ceb0f0d1aeb8fcbc0e63267696910f82c72dfc91378ba
in this case the last transaction appears to be generated 3 seconds in the future,
with respect to time of the block that contains it.

I know it seems a trifle, but this small violation, is a reason enough to reject
the block.
Since some wallet rightly do, and others do not, then come the fork, and here
comes the disaster.

I repeat, the problem is not the three seconds, but the wallets which are following
rules (partly) different.
In general, the common sense suggests that where a control can be leave out,
then they can be skipped also other less obvious.

When you change the shared basic rules of a blockchain then you need a mandatory
hardfork, that it must be well motivated and tested and rechecked.
That mandatory hardfork must be announced well in advance, in large letters,
on all possible media, and also with alerts via wallet.

With all due respect to those who have done the work on current wallet code,
really a lot of work of adaptation/integration, from what I read here, the new
wallet seems still a little immature.

Probably it would need another period of beta testing, in a separate network
but as in real life, it is made up of active nodes of all versions, with
frequent cross-checks.

Of course all this is just my humble opinion

PS:
If one of the experienced users with wallet 4, wanted to send the output of the command:
getblock 69fb3392a4bcf11fe75ceb0f0d1aeb8fcbc0e63267696910f82c72dfc91378ba true

It could be useful for verification of the various "time".

Please see the update from Poloniex:

On May 2, 2017, the following will be delisted: BBR, BITS, C2, CURE, HZ, IOC, MYR, NOBL, NSR, QBK, QORA, QTL, RBY, SDC, UNITY, VOX, XMG

All of these coins are in freefall mode. I will post in the forum and update everyone this weekend.

I don't have any of those coins. But i don't think Poloniex acted in the correct way.

I think they must at least delisted in packets of 5 coins. And also notify each client with an EMAIL about the delisting instead of tweet. Because only those users active 24/7 and those that eventually saw it early were able to sell, all of them are more than -50%

And more reason to notify all of them through the unique way they have with their clients "THE EMAIL". Because many of them have increased their value +2000% days/weeks ago

Poloniex definitely did a wrong step. Im gonna withdraw my funds from there. They can delist any coin they want and fuck you.

That's called an exit pump and the scammers running poloniex are doing it every time they delist coins...

Important Wallet Update & Weekly Report

This week the development team have been focused on optimizing the new Nav Coin Core and making sure that it is providing the network stability we need to move forward. We were hoping to move onto some new projects this week but with our primary focus on the core optimization, we will be kicking off our next projects over the coming days.

We have recently released v4.0.1.1 which has improved network stability. If you are using any other 4.0.x or 3.x version can you please immediately update to the latest 4.0.1.1 version and begin staking your coins to help the network.

http://navcoin.org/downloads/#nav-coin-core

Apart from working on the core optimization, we have also been busy chipping away at a couple other objectives.

Guy has been pricing up options for us to stock pre-built & pre-configured NAV branded NavPi units in our online store. So far his research has come up with some good options and we are hoping to finalize a price and order our first batch in the coming weeks. This will make earning NAV staking rewards even easier as you will be able to order the complete unit from the store. All you will need to do is plug in the power and send it some NAV to stake.

One of the contacts Craig made at the Bloktex conference was with Wirex who provide cryptocurrency charged MasterCards. Wirex have shown interest in getting Nav Coin onto their debit card platform and have offered their assistance to make it happen. We have opened a dialog with Wirex who are powered by Shapeshift behind the scenes. Hopefully this leads to Nav Coin getting added to Shapeshift and subsequently to the Wirex debit card platform. We can’t guarantee an outcome at this stage but it is an avenue we are keenly pursuing.

The projects we will start to plan and work on next week are;

The CoPay Fork which gives us fully functional web and mobile wallets.

Rebuilding the subchain to align its core with the new Nav Coin core and prepare to bring both chains into a single multi-chain wallet.

Rebuilding the front end of the NavPi StakeBox using JavaScript instead of the PHP & Apache service which is currently running on there. This will lead to better performance of the front end and also a less cluttered User Interface to make it even simpler and easier to use and keep up to date.

Our marketing team continues to work on our overall branding and marketing strategy while preparing press releases for our upcoming features.

That is all we have to report for this week. Expect a more productive week next week as our Lead Developer Craig leads the charge after returning from Kuala Lumpur.

Talk Soon,
Nav Coin Team.

I am testing staking on the wallet, however been stacking it for 2 days or soand it doesn't show up anything wtih the 24 h staking. Currently testing with just a small amount of 1,1 k NAV.
Also I'm not really experienced with wallets, however I know i should save me data from my wallet should I keep saving the wallet if i add funds to me wallet?
