Have I read a paper, yes... Has anyone read this coin's white paper, no, because it won't be out for another good 5-8 hrs. If you mean something else, please do elaborate. |

I'm in.
I was buying at 10k. Glad I did. No premine and the market cap was only 60,000 USD yesterday.
I was like "Yes".
Sooo tired of premine coins being scams. I would rather go with a no premine coin anytime.
Shieldcoin is a much needed breath of fresh air.
Still super cheap.

Hold coins in your wallet, let them mature, go to settings and "unlock". Once the padlock symbol has a cut in it, you are technically staking. All is left to do is wait for a block. If someone can answer as to how long (in terms of confirmations) is needed for the coins to mature, please do let me know. |

Big buyers in Europe wake up to this in a couple hours.
Big buyers on the East coast start waking up in around 6-7 hours.
Big buyers on the West coast start waking up around 9-10 hours.

Big buyers on the East coast start waking up in around 6-7 hours.
Big buyers on the West coast start waking up around 9-10 hours.
the buyers in the US (both east and west) have already gotten on the gravy train from the afternoon to evening in the US yesterday. (when value started to significantly increase). They are aware. The buyers in EU have gotten in last night. (also when value significantly increased). They are also aware. Highly doubtful the value will increase much more. What im saying is, when they wake up, there will be a dump. |

Most of Europe and US weren't awake 5-6 hours ago. Most of Europe and the US haven't been awake for the past 5-6 hours. Conclusion: This will all be new to most buyers in the US and Europe. |

Drunk american traders buying now.
This coin has a 300btc market cap. 1 whale has been buying if not more since 8k. They probably hold most of the coins by now. The rest of the weak hands will sell and if this coin proves to be legit it'll hit levels never seen before. Worth a gamble if you are a whale and want to throw 50-100 bitcoins into this. If it isn't legit then it comes crashing down.

And maybe you need a lesson in time zones: Most of the American market will be going to sleep in the next 3 hours, they are not just waking to the realization that this coin is suddenly valuable and "oh, I better panic buy". And to suit your point: I 100% agree with the fact of "nothing is proven until it is there" sort of thing. And I can confirm there is an at least a near 8% holder in this coin. I don't know about any higher, but that is what I can confirm. As far as the price goes, this is where the market has deemed the coin to be priced at for now until the full white paper release in a few hours. After that point, we either crash or we are proven and we continue: simple as that. |

But seriously, do we all find it a problem that some smart people mined/bought this coin in large quantities early on? The case for large holdings are of no difference to any other major coin's initial launch. The more cautious investors pull out early with their deserved reward and the large holders continue to buy until they want to cash out. At that point they have accumulated so much, they tend to crash the market. This is the typical pattern that I have noticed time and time again.
But, if the dev delivers, we should not see this crash, and go forth like Darkcoin.

They have to be in your wallet for 12 hours before staking starts. The arrow in the bottom right of the wallet turns green when it is staking. Hover over the icon to get stats on your expected time to find block, etc. If your wallet is encrypted (I suggest this for everyone) then you need to unlock your wallet for staking to start. Go into the debug console and type the following to unlock the wallet. walletpassphrase yourpassword 9999999 Edit: Just saw that you can go to Settings > Unlock wallet |

For one thing its a different anon system, but Im not going to pretend to know all the technical stuff, you can ask the dev on that one. And the dev hasnt even given a complete whitepaper yet, nor a road map of other features. And who cares what the difference is? Cloak is a good coin, its doing its thing but what does it have to do with Shield? I only responded to J9901 because he started bashing it, not only in this thread but Cloaks also. And usually people do that if theyre threatened, which is retarded. In any case that coin bashing shit is not cool. |
