Yea, I'm having similar issues. I removed the two files from apps/roaming, then restarted. The blocks appear to be fully loaded & I finally got the coins I bought yesterday... but it still says (out of sync) at the top for some reason.

Awesome thanks! I've tried the open/close/open/close thing & it seems to keep progressing further everytime I do it. I have to head to work shortly, so I'll leave it running & try this when I get home if it isn't fully synced. Although I left it running yesterday with no such luck, then again... I was mining another coin while it was syncing so that maybe that interfered with it. I dunno.

After many tries and I have finally got the wallet to sync but now it shows my stake is 0.00 and that I have no other coins than the ones I have sent to the wallet from bittrex. All of the transactions show me receiving the coins, then them being staked, but now there is no stake balance. Is this correct and if not, how can I correct this???  Thanks in advance. I had mined and gotten 281 before POS started.

When you receive a payout from stake you're coins have to mature again before they stake again I believe.

That did it. It put the 281 back into the balance so aLadyLove must be right also.  Thanks for the help. I am still really new and the wallet stuff is frustrating me.
