Is this OK? SGMiner is showing different difficulty than the newest Wallet. When I was mining Solo, the DIFF in SGMiner was the same as in Wallet.

My SGMiner config is:
gminer -k groestlcoin --difficulty-multiplier 0.00390625  -o stratum+tcp://maya.aidbit.net:3032 -u AKBu9nZBMRphGAuZssyoZZkdsTDLPsiXqj -p x -I 21,21,22 -g 1,1,1 --gpu-engine 1200,1200,1100  --gpu-memclock 1050,1050,1000 --gpu-fan 70 -w 256,256,256 --thread-concurrency 8192,8192,16384

I managed to get the new 1.0.1.0 wallet by clicking the link in the OP.

However, despite having connections to the network and a spinning "sync wheel", My blockchain seem to be stuck 7 hours in the past.

Could this be an issue caused by connecting to nodes running the old wallet, and if so could you provide nodes that are using the new wallet/fork so I can update my conf file?

Try to restart the wallet or delete the blockchain database (%appdata%/AidBit - be careful you don't delete wallet.dat).

Worked for me.

Everything confirmed up to a little over 12 hours ago. Waiting . . .

Should we expect to lose coins that were possibly mined on an old/bad fork?

Add: thought it had worked - showed as having finished the sync - now "downloading 12172 of 12824 . . . last block received 32 seconds ago" - "647 block remaining" Weird!

If your on Linux Wallet, please check:
./aidbitd getblockhash 12138
0000000011e73e1aa8c10e14b5d7bb8b48b0994a07a3a92bd694671c395560ec

Using the windows 1.0.1.0 wallet, but that "weirdness" has cleared up now. no it hasn't - just came back - now it's "downloading 12203 of 12823 ... with 620 blocks remaining".

Looking at the block explorer, the 12203 looks good as the last block . . . where the 12823 is coming from and the 620 block remaining, I don't know.

I am running as a server and solo mining, if that matters.

BTW, all of my rewards with exclamation marks were mined on maya.aidbit.net - 23 payouts from 10:34 PM 07/25/2014 to 4:59 07/26/2014 UTC/GMT.

Are you sure you have the latest version? ./getblockhash 12203

Okay. Sounds good. It's not urgent, so I'll PM you that data once the dust settles and you've got time to look at it.

Looks like some stuff went down. That's exciting. Shocked I noticed last night something was up when the stratum kept failing on felix so I stopped my miner. I was too tired to even think about it so I just waited till this morning. Got wallet vs 1.0.1.0 and I'm back in business. Thanks for the quick response guys.

What should I write as the official response from you guys? I was going to post a link to the updated wallet and a short explanation of why its important to get it on the subreddit. On a positive note I redesigned the subbreddit and incorporated the logo so it looks more professional. http://www.reddit.com/r/AidBit/comments/2bs0eo/get_new_wallet_v1010/

One more thing, if you're having problems wit Windows Wallet, please check its build date. It should be Jul 26 2014, 11:26:53. We were rushing the build and didn't fix the file version.

Thanks!

Strangest thing. Some of those "exclamation marks" are starting to come in and confirm . . . as the block count increases . . . weird. Now downloading 12308 of 12959 . . . 651 remaining.

current block 12308

16:58:31
getblockhash 12308

0000000000e569c415ccee9facf08a5916195bcb04879d736339bd96998c7137

Just reporting this for what it's worth. I'm mining, in no hurry to have it sync completely, and more interested in seeing where this goes. Wink

For what it's worth.

Please post NOMP pool instructions / codes .. or if done p2pool but this is going to require some more work?
I will make a new pool..
Or can you just use a pool with support for groestl?

Please see necessary stratum modifications, posted on our git:
https://github.com/AidBit/node-stratum-pool/tree/AidBit

Configuring NOMP is a pretty straight forward process.
Due to our modifications, first two reward recipients in the pool config must be configured with 0 percentages:

Code:
"rewardRecipients": {
"ANhmhMCxJZkV7M5nmBMaXZWVfRuba79B3m": 0,
"AVBLFaezaUM83odu4x3Rr8dQ8vHVFHEddC": 0
},

Cheers,

V

Hi!

Is it possible to use vanilla NOMP without modifications?
Perhaps increase the donation/dev from 10% and 3% to 12% and 3.6% or something like this?
Code:
    "rewardRecipients": {
        "ANhmhMCxJZkV7M5nmBMaXZWVfRuba79B3m": 12,
        "AVBLFaezaUM83odu4x3Rr8dQ8vHVFHEddC": 3.6,

I have a NOMP pool with multiple coins and don't want to modify the code.

Currently I'm always getting "ERROR: ConnectBlock() : coinbase does not pay enough to donation address!". Even if I have "ANhmhMCxJZkV7M5nmBMaXZWVfRuba79B3m": 10 in config. Why???

Thanks

Never mind. I have integrated your change in a way that it does not break all other coins.
https://github.com/srcxxx/node-stratum-pool/commit/172bd3483be8b79262b742c2dcaa0111c037e093

And now I'm happy to announce that Groestl Optimized Pool finally supports AidBit!
You should be getting 20.0 MH/s on R9 290.

on my rig I earn only about 7870
My 280X gain nothing and I lost about 6950
unconvincing given the constraint of having to undermine this pool

Ah this forking is death sentence for this coin. Shit that I wasted 1 week on it. Now I resynchronized wallet and my last block is not the same as in block explorer. How the hell I can force my wallet to synchronize with the right fork?

I have not managed a single currency and i have 2 updates in less than 24h ... I have mined in all the pools, none has sent nothing.
I´m out .
this is the Mongycoin of the week.
