At least spend a minute update the OP to with all the new exchanges and services they provide: Cryptopia, Yobit, Steakcloud

You're right. Done, I've updated OP and I'll keep maintaining it.

Hi Equamobi,

Thanks for answer to the community,

So that is officially that you left the coin as dev of this. I ask because I had listed it on Special cases*Not dead yet completely, I see that  Steak Cloud Team is supporting this coin, So Wich could future to this be?

Will be a takeover?

I am completely open for that option. If someone wants to take it over, re-launch it or similar post here or PM me.

A Linux VPS with 2GB of RAM is required (it may run on 1GB but it probably lags). So if you provide one I can install a node there.

perhaps the answer is buried in the other 160 pages of this thread  Tongue but does anyone know:

if is there a way to see how many CAPTcoin is in existence?

when is the last coin created estimated to happen (my estimate is about 12 years from now - is that about accurate?)

what is the transaction fee?

after than last coin is generated, how does the network keep going (is the transaction fee just divided amongst the POS participants? or how does that work)

good to know these things before getting involved in any significant way with this coin

thanks in advance!

I have marked your questions 1-4 and I'll answer them one by one to you. (I'm an expert in CAPTcoin as I have joined the initial distribution a year ago)

1. Go to http://yobit.net/en/coinsinfo, search 'CAPT' in the search box, and check the Moneysupply. Then deduct 16926990.192505 from that number (which is burnt from initial distribution). Alternatively you can check http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/captcoin/ , they have the number calculated, however it is corrected to the nearest integer.

2. In about 12-14 years, provided that no coin age is loss due to lost wallets/transactions. Actually I think it would take more than 20 years.

3. The standard fee is 0.00001 per KB, however some exchanges pay more (e.g. yobit pays 0.002). The fees are burnt instead of giving to the miner (staker).

4. Transaction fees will be the reward, otherwise it will be 0 reward.

2.  average reward?
1. 30s, although it was intended to be 60s.
2. Depends on coin age of the staked coins.

for what i know begging isn't allowed at all in the forum... i think that is going to have a recall from a mod or a temp ban (sorry but i'm a phone and i couldn't delete the other things without the risk of doing a mess)

Hi all.

I understand that the main site captcoin.com was not able to survive, due to the server costs.  Cry

Clearly our little coins cannot disappear. This is a nice thing, thanks to the master of coins Satoshi Nakamoto.  Cool

Now we have a little issue: how can someone spend the coins, perform a transaction without a main server? The windows wallet it's not an option, it's heavy.  Sad

It is not heavy, it takes less than 1GB of the storage; however syncing is the biggest problem, I maybe can't get a single block even for opening the wallet for few hours due to no connection Sad

Is it possible to have someone trusted who can act as a banker? I know that this is not the philosophy of digital coins, but at least maybe we can do something for captcoin.
My idea is to have 3-4 trusted bankers with a lot of captcoins as deposits. Bankers can gain profit (a % of the proof of stake revenue) and as a service run the software (every banker a node) and maybe perform transactions for they customers.
