QUESTION:
I have most of my coins in my Captcoin wallet installed on my computer. My question is, how will I retrieve my coins if my computer broke and I need to reinstall the OS?
You MUST save the wallet.dat file.... you MUST... In fact everyone should do this now: go to debug window Type: dumpprivkey <Your CAPT Address> ( For each address you have for CAPT ) And save those results to hard copy for your safe, or locked desk or something.... Then you can always rebuild your CAPT wallet... no matter what happens.... Ok I have the .dat file saved on my flashdrive. If I reinstall the wallet after reinstalling a new OS, what will I do with this dat file? How do I restore it? If your PC breaks, you can install the wallet on a new computer and then paste your backed-up file in this location: %appdata%/CAPTcoin With the name wallet.dat Then, when you open the wallet, you'll have the same old addresses, transactions and funds. https://forum.captcoin.com/index.php/topic,40.msg88.html#msg88 |

Not sure, but you won't need those to rebuild a wallet in a pinch... they are one offs created when staking... i.e. the generation blocks. But you will need all the receiving addresses for sure.... Of course if you just save wallet.dat that will work as well.. |

Another phase starts now. Good luck everyone. Hold your coins for at least 3 years like MF investment. If everyone does like this we could see CAPT in the range of 0.01-1 BTC sooner than most of think. Buy CAPT and use as much as possible for all online transactions to boost the Demand and the motto for Captcoiners should be " I am holding CAPT instead of other crypto coins including Bitcoins, litecoin etc" |

guys what is your minimum goal before you start selling your capt?
As long as the crypto currency is around. ..Atleast for me 70-90% of the holding will be in CAPT! BTW I do not that much cryptos . lol If you need cash like USD or Euro for your needs that's okay, convert CAPT to your currency for your requirements. But not exchange for BTC, litecoin or other cryptos!

I think the The Market Cap Supply must be modified because even the unclaimed coins had been destroyed, still has 20,020,738 CAPT  available supply instead of 3M plus only.. |

Its a great news that CAPT is going to be on http://litebit.eu/ this week. And added to http://casheer.net/ list of coins. And soon we will be on http://www.coinspayments.com too. Way to go guys. And considering the fact that there are only 3.1 millions CAPTcoin. This will be an easy 10k-20k satoshi next coming months.. Im gonna buy some more while still at 3000-3500 satoshi  |
