I have mined with the because pool and now that I'm trying to get a pay out it tells me invalid address, so I created a new address in btcd wallet and it still gives me a invalid address error when I try to get paid.... I have sent emails to the admins and recived no reply... this dose not look good if you want to get paid for your work don't use the because pool !

make sure you are have the page in BitcoinDark mode from the menu at the top of the page when you are entering the address.

https://becausepool.com 1% fee on all coins.
Custom MPOS with single account for all coins. NOMP stratum servers.
Follow us on twitter @becausePool for updates during launches

Looks like the diff is sure heating up on this coin n people grabbing it like a boss. Will be interesting too see where things are at once POW is over and done and seems to be approaching fast too 13,189 half way their and a little more so it seems only 48% ish to go
Its been less than a day since I got involved with BTCD and of course the price triples on me. We are almost 10% of bittrex volumes.

Maybe I should say some negative things so the price comes down? Everytime I try to get some, people just outbid me like crazy monkeys. Stop that! I need to get some more.

James

I've just been buying up the orderbook to accumulate.  Bought it up to .0002, then up to .0003, then up to .0004, then up to .0005

...you guys are welcome.
I guess I wont be getting much more BTCD, maybe have to beg for donations?
Yeah, what he said.  I'm more than willing to throw some BTCD his direction for his efforts. Smiley
Anyway I was thinking of posting a tech roadmap, but I am afraid the price would go way too high too fast.

How many are available for some testing? It will be command line level stuff, basically a text API to submit various commands.

James

sam@noconstruct.com keep me updated as i profit i will donate Smiley you are the whole cause right now please post your btc and BTCD, will you be needing testers ? i think having donations to qualify for alpha and beta testing will keep miners and whales very interested in helping to finance your efforts. Any plans for a Dev Blog to display white papers and updates

What is the recommended way to backup the wallet.dat file?
Is it safe to just copy it (even if the daemon is running)?

you can export under the settings a backup also close the wallet and backup the whole directory to a flash drive.

I am predicting that once we hit 0.0006 and pass it, we are going to have a break-out in the price to about 0.0008.

And that wall is preventing it haha... Realistically, why is this coin exploding? Because it isn't following the typical "pump and dump."

I dont want BTC, I only want BTCD, donation address is in my sig
I will need testers, probably this weekend or early next week.
If anybody wants to help coordinate testing, awarding bounties, etc. that would be much appreciated

I guess I could use my existing jl777.org blog to post updates

That's because it isn't... It is a new SHA-256 coin that is rare, hard to mine, and will be coming out with some new innovations in anon, which will soon be in private alpha for the community to test... And that will be just the beginning.

its better to be developed slowly but perfectly than just to rush it and have tons of bugs

Everyone should know that, of course, there will be price rises and falls. However, keep in mind that this coin is going to be BIG, not just in price, but in features and use. It might take time, but I feel this coin will surpass $1 USD. I bought and sold some at a profit, but then bought back in at about a 10k satoshi spread each time. I'm not selling any more though, I'm holding. This is going places. Darkcoin passed $15 at one point, no reason this won't. Especially since there will be less than 1.6 million PoW coins (less b/c of PoS), and PoS will take decades to reach the 22 million.
