Is there a working BTCD Mac wallet around? My old QT won´t sync anymore and I can´t find a working link (Only the one in the OP). I tried the supposed workaround for the Mac described in the OP, but nothing changed. Still stuck at Block 838210 where it last synced sometimes last Year.

Goto http://cryptochainer.com/dir/ and download the blockchain and give it a try. Always backup your wallet first. Hope that work for you.

Looks like it´s working, Thank you!

GG

Good luck mate :/

Yea I lost some Doge and a little over a Litecoin from them. I only transferred all my alts (except my BTCD and various other stake coins) from Cryptsy over to BTER as they collapsed. I transferred a few others over to Poloniex. I was trading quite frequently on BTER and liked how you could earn daily interest on certain coins but that felt a bit fishy. I'd receive Doge from Genesis everyday but every so often BTER would change my address and not deposit the Doge after doing "maintenance". I would have to go into the Doge Block explorer and find the old wallet and tell them I am missing my Doge. I was tired of this so I withdrew everything and sent it to Polo. The only problem was I could never get my Litecoin from them but it wasn't much so I was just happy to leave that scam site. I bet they will be the next Mt. Gox here one day gone the next. I just hope Poloniex sticks around I really like that site but have grown to not trust exchanges any longer.

BTCD needs a working block explorer.

http://explorebtcd.info is showing wrong results for some addresses.

And search does not seem to be working on: https://www.blockexperts.com

Are there any others?

Week 45: 16 BTCD have been paid to 556 unique BitcoinDark addresses for successfully staking blocks 1028121-1038890

Thanks for staking and supporting the BitcoinDark network. BTCD prices have settled higher putting downward pressure on Staker Divs, however MMBTCD received a nice bump this week increasing the BTCD payout.  Good progress with Iguana. Testers are now syncing the BTCD blockchain through Iguana in 10 mins. BTC in ~30 mins.

James recently stated in slack that Bitcoindark privacy tech is still being improved, the changes are still undocumented but they include confidential transactions. Btcd will be even more awesome than what is explained in the wiki.

After spending hundreds of hours roaming this forum I must tell you I feel JL777 is the biggest scammer around.
The amount of BTC gathered for BTCD/superNET/NXT-assets issued by his gang is just horrendous.

And the feeling is like everybody is waiting for the miracle tech to come out if not today, tomorrow for sure.
Just scan the thread for BTCD, its almost, almost, almost there. It's finally coming together ... stuff like this on whatever page you chose.

But for BTCD in particular, I see the same wallet used for many months now. I know there is beta around, but it's almost 2 years since BTCD was born. 2 years.

Aaaand there is new project born every day. And new ones after that. And some ideas for a brand few new ones in the middle.

I somehow have a feeling there is only one person who genuinely understands entire complexity of the system. But being invested in BTCD for awhile, I have a simple question of the godfather of this coin.
Is the dev still active?
Re-reading some posts, I'm just curious how this will work when implementing the anon features and future of this coin as it states in the ann post that it'll be community driven. I respect the idea, but I just want to be clear on the dev's intentions. Based on his/her past post history it seems they're genuinely interested in making a quality coin and everything has gone well so far, but I'm a little bit wary based on the comment about them not being a technical dev. Is that hinting that the work may have to be done by community members and those interested in the coin?
Hello!

I am part of BTCD community now and I happen to be developing a cryptonote fork to add anon features to NXT. It turns out that my methods should apply to BTCD also. I will be working on integrating cryptonote tech into BTCD, but it is more than "just" cryptonote anon tech as I am also making my solution include a near realtime exchange (InstantDEX) so people can directly trade just by running the coin.

How will all this work you ask?
https://github.com/jl777/pNXT has the current source code and it is rapidly being developed.

Once InstantDEX is done, I will be adding Privatebet (peer to peer sportsbook) to the pNXT framework, plus the way it is implemented there is no reason any other number of useful services cant be added.

My efforts are in parallel with all the other BTCD coders and I try to design a clever way to integrate to require minimal changes to the BTCD codebase. So, if I succeed, then all the peoples selling at current prices will not be so happy.
There is no reason that other anon tech in BTCD can't combine with the cryptonote tech, in fact pushing tx through two independent anon algos would only help if it is done properly. So, I bring very good news to BTCD and now I expect a massive in increase in the FUD level Smiley

James

P.S. I am not so active on BTT, but you can find out more about me on NXT forums and jl777.org

Two years almost passed. InstantDEX is almost ready?

5% APR POS only. No mining.

You get your stake + MMBTCD sends you whatever they earned on top of that, but yes, expect 0.3BTCD for every 1% of entire coin supply for a week for staking 24/7.
