Can we still stake the coins with Raspberry Pi in the new wallet? If so, is there still an updated guide how to do it?

new wallet hasn't bee released yet. so no updated guide. old guide (pinned in slack and somewhere in this forum) is therefore still good.

as a matter of fact I'm staking on a pi right now

not too sure if there will be raspberry pi compatible version of new wallet when it is released. :-(

I am more than aware that there is no new wallet deployed yet. Although, it seems to me that this is a matter of few months and I wanted to make sure that Pi will work for staking. Maybe someone from developers can confirm this and I will get the Pi right after.

Can anyone explain to me in a very simple way how the token/coin is connected to IOC? How will there be value in
the token?

the tokens are both the reward for supporting the blockchain network and they are also the payment needed to use the features that will be available in the upcoming release of DIONS. Downloading wallet and running it at as staking node ( set secure password and mark the checkbox for staking) will earn tokens. Tokens are currently worth around $2. Current rate of return is 1% ...like earning interest) Once DIONS releases rewards will also include fees for using its blockchain features so anticipation is rate of return on staking will increase dramatically :-)

DIONS release by latest End of October (or earlier)

Devs are ambitiously working on it. HTML5 wallet (pre-release) already rolled out to a chosen user group, in order to test it.
So we are talking about small adjustments here providing a stable and already enterprise ready release.

There will be info when new wallet is released.  They are tweaking the roadmap and updating for whatever they have done and where it is leading them.

So good news. We won the public award in the European Fintech awards in the Blockchain category. Number one!
That said we are now also invited to go to the european parliament where the award conference is being held later in September and first of all attend as VIP at the pre-conference a day before the conference (sept 27th) and get a 5 minute demo slot to show what we got and media package.
The day after we will be present at the Fintech awards and are asked to Pitch our platform to a professional Jury and hundreds of people in the audience. All top executives in the FinTech industry.This means that we are among the most promising and innovative European FinTech companies at the moment, congratulations and thank you everybody who voted for us.

So we need Richard to get over there. As you all know the I/O Digital Foundation is a non-for profit Foundation. All expenses are paid by the team. Richards spare time is important. He would gladly take two days off his day job and travel to Brussels to attend, but adding hotel and promotion expenses to it would be too much for him personally.

We hope the community could chip in and support our Fintech exposure in Brussels. We need roughly 0.75 BTC ($3300) for that.
If there is any money left or we get more than asked for we will use it for the Foundation marketing as well. Showcasing I/O Digital is very important for the overall project awareness and we hope the community can help us with this. The Fintech awards is a huge conference and could do us well.

Pertaining to IOC, brings up the fact that coins need to bring something working and useful to the table to advance.  Get away from ICO's with large sums of money being raised for a promise and get projects out there that give a usable product on the table for the investors benefit.

They also talk about the power of identity storage and usage in blockchain.

Everyone should watch this that is interested in coins.
