[ANN][FAIR] FairCoin - for a fair economy, featuring proof-of-cooperation

Seriously, not supporting the price in bittrex for so long and asking that much for faircoin in getfaircoin only make faircoop look economic incompetent, or as scammer at worst. I do not mean to be rude, but this what it look like from an outsider. Once people buy in with getfaircoin, there is no way out at a fair price. Indeed faircoop automatically take about 90% of your money and put it in their pockets. How can people convince other to buy in getfaircoin in such condition?

I personnally think that either one of the 3 thing should be done
1) the price in bitrex should be support or
2) the price in getfaicoin shoukd be readjusted to it real market value or
3) It should be made clear on getfaircoin that transferring money there is a donation to the faircoop...

I have high respect for what the faircoop has achieve so far (im following faircoin from its beginning), but I see no common sense in what is going one there on this subject.

At the moment, there is no money velocity in getfaircoin because the asking price is simply not fair.

I hope im not to harsh, but im just giving up how  I feel about the situation.

I also hope this get fix asap.

1) One of the ways to create buys and buy support, is a company that is supporting the faircoop ecosystem and is commited to invest big ammounts of money in bittrex. Their action was supposed to begin some days ago, but still is pending of receiving pending investments that would left them to do that.

Also we are going to focus on supporting regional-local economies with the local nodes, as soon as the local nodes are better organized for recibing cash payments, they could be an important support for the price.


3) Is not a donation because you can spend the faircoin at the getfaircoin price in many places:  http://use.fair-coin.org
If you are in a region where there are no places accepting faircoin then you have the opportunity of joining, helping local merchants to join,
and being organized in a local node for supporting that merchants. Currently, there are groups working in diferent regions of Europe, specially Spain and Greecem and it looks that the places accepting are going to growth nextly

The incomes that are coming for getfaircoin are going for sustaining the faircoop ecosystem:

FairCoop is covering their expenses thanks to the getfaircoin sells from the last 6 months, and here there are a follow up of that expenses, where anyone can see, that this is about 5000 euros.

Otherwise, FairCoop also garantee that price to the merchants that accept in their shops. Last weeks already one Coop bar in Catalonia has used that option and has changed succesfully, 3330 faircoins to 150 euros Thats their page and public adress:

You have the right of share your opinion on our economic management habilities, and can disagree, but what is obvius is that the expenses of faircoop has cost around 100000 faircoins the last 6 month, and if we would change the price in getfaircoin following bittrex, perhaps that amount would be around 300000 - 400000 faircoins. Thanks to that politic of sustaining the price. The pooled fund of faircoop still have around 820000 faircoin and not 520000 faircoins...

Bitchain already has a permanent Bitcoin ATM in Athens

The new economic scenario generated in Greece a few months ago, has opened the door to the growth and spread of Bitcoin cryptocurrency in this country.

For this reason, the Catalan firm Bitchain -pioneer in Spain in the implementation and management of Bitcoin's ATM -, and who already placed experimentally a ATM in July, at the Center of Innovation The Cube, now consolidates its presence in the capital of Greece with a permanent teller in greek-spanish restaurant APLO (A. Metaxa 30) in Exharquia -in the heart of the central district of Athens-, known as the hub of citizens mobilizations. APLO and the ATM open to the public every day from 18:00 PM to 24:00h hours, with a chance to extend the timetable in the future.

The ATM allows buy and sell Bitcoins. Users from Greece who already have this currency units may acquire Euros in cash, with a maximum of 1,000 Euros per transaction. Similarly, users can also buy Bitcoins.

With a simple operation Bitchain ATM deployed in APLO allows operations -in the timetable set by the restaurant- with this digital currency and they can buy products or services already sold in internet.

After the capital control of the economy in the country, Bitcoin is specially attractive for Greek citizens as it enables international online shopping because their credit cards have been banned since months ago

This instalation also has a collaboration agreement with FairCoop node of Athens, who opens in APLO a information point for alternative currencies: weekdays from 18 to 21 hours, where in addition to Bitcoin, it will promote Faircoin, the cryptocurrency for a fairer economy.

When the price of Bitcoin is growing 50% in less than a week, and 20% in one day, having low volume and not sell orders moving, means that the value of faircoin in bittrex is holding the bitcoin growth... I  dont see the problem here...

I like faircoin, but I think it isn't the actual inner worth of faircoin, this are maybe more old limits.

The problem is the trade volume is so weak that there is no liquidity. This is what I mean by dramatic. I mean 10$ volume is way to small.

The problem is the trade volume is so weak that there is no liquidity. This is what I mean by dramatic. I mean 10$ volume is way to small.

Now, you have more than 1300$ volume for today, so you can be happier 

I wonder if that faircoin holders who are also bitcoin holders, would do that the good move of creating some buy pressure
on faircoin with their profits.
If you want to contribute to that long term faircoin developement, is important to continue supporting when you have a good economic situation to do that

the Peercoin block chain experienced an unwanted fork because of a malicious transaction that was injected into the Peercoin network by an attacker. This is a serious issue. FairCoin being a descendant of Peercoin and is also vulnerable to this kind of attack. Only the latest wallet release contains the fix for this vulnerability.
