Sorry if I missed this but , how do I get an avatar ?

If you ctrl+F "avatar" in first page, you'd see.

Q: When will I be able to add an avatar to my account?
A: Once your account is ranked Full Member or higher.

And how do you become Full Member?
You need 120 posts, 120 activity and 100 merit for that.

You should read all other sticky threads as well.

I'm a little bit confused about number eighteen (18) on the forum rules, I have seen some users in the forum get in trouble and some get negative trust for having multiple accounts in the forum, but here it clearly says that it's allowed. I really don't understand it or am I missing out on something? I really need some explanation!

I think those who are having problems are not actually having problems with having multiple accounts. The main reason for their problems may be:
1.  merit farming.
2. Creating another account through one account.
3. Sharing merit among themselves without qualification.
4. Fraudulent signature promotion.
5. Breaking other rules.

It's better to click Report to moderator on the posts that break forum rules.
I see you shared a link here but (Report to moderator) although it looks like a link but when you click on it, no link is available. You may have mistakenly forgotten to provide the link. If you notice this, please edit and correct it a little.

I am trying to solve a little bit. Did you mean to add this link here:

Example:
Report to moderator cooldown.
Report to moderator on post history.

Did you mean to write something like this or share a link or share some other link.

Self-Custody is a right. Say no to "non-custodial"

Maybe LoyceV did not need to provide any link within his post, since every single forum post (including this one) has the "Report to moderator" link contained within it at the lower right corner.  All you have to do is look at the right lower corner of any post.

For my own entertainment purposes, I will look at the threads that you linked later.

1) Self-Custody is a right.  Resist being labelled as: "non-custodial" or "un-hosted."  2) ESG, KYC & AML are attack-vectors on Bitcoin to be avoided or minimized.  3) How much alt (shit)coin diversification is necessary? if you are into Bitcoin, then 0%......if you cannot control your gambling, then perhaps limit your alt(shit)coin exposure to less than 10% of your bitcoin size...Put BTC here: bc1q49wt0ddnj07wzzp6z7affw9ven7fztyhevqu9k

Thank you for explaining the issue. Yes, that could be the case since there is a "Report to Moderator" option at the bottom corner. Since there was a "Report to Moderator" link there, I couldn't find anything to click on, so I created that post.

Rule 29
Which states: Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed.

I want to start interviewing the legendary members on my local board, it will be 30 days for each interview. I want to send PM to the legendary members for the interview as invite and it will be every 30 days. Will this be considered as an unsolicited PM?

This is the interview: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5573114.msg66357125#msg66357125

I do not want people to just flood the interview, so I want to give it 30 days space for each interview so that the person interviewed will have time to write the necessary answers before posting it.

With the set up, there is no how I will not first send the people PM.

If they do not answer, I will understand that they are not interested, but some will answer me to be interested or not interested and I will understand.

I don't think so. You've already written the purpose of your PM in a thread, which is free of advertising. However, you should include a link to your thread so the recipient understands the context and prevents them from reporting your PM.

-snip-
If they do not answer, I will understand that they are not interested, but some will answer me to be interested or not interested and I will understand.
That's right, you should consider such interviews consensual, I mean, there's no follow-up PM that forces the recipient to respond to an interview immediately.

That depends on the view of the receiver. They can report if if they think it's unsolicited. I've seen people tagged red for this (although I'd say that's Trust abuse).

You're sending someone a PM out of nowhere asking for an interview. That is the definition of unsolicited. They never asked to be interviewed nor told you it's fine to message them.

However, if nobody reports it, no actions will be taken. Personally, I would just ignore the message, unless it's rude or really annoying.

Don't send a bunch of members PM messages in the same time, and you should be fine.
Just to be sure don't send them any links, and try to be short and concise when introducing yourself.
Alternative option is to create topic in forum and list all members you want to interview, many of them will receive notification.

I find this rule #29 somewhat a can of worms that might be spilled out of own control. I'm not too worried, as I hope others don't loose their head and run mad when they receive a "reasonable PM".

Personally, I'm quite tolerant, maybe because I'm not really spammed by PMs. I've had beggers and whatnot else and I simply tell them to stop if something annoys me somewhat. I would only report blatant scammy PMs out of nowhere unless the numbers grow to a real annoyance.

I guess mods aren't harsh on reports for reasonable contacts via PM because if I write someone for the first time a PM it's kinda always unsolicited, isn't it, unless that someone openly allowed to be contacted via PM in whatever context.

I explained this on your thread too
I'm sure now you know it's true and could be considered unsolicited.
I'd advice listing the names out of those you would love to interview
And whoever is interested can respond in the thread before you can send the PM.

This is usually done by contest managers to invite members they are aware engaged in the contest prior.

Such tag will not be a problem for me as it will not affect my account in a bad way.

However, if nobody reports it, no actions will be taken.
What if the person reports it, is the punishment permanent or temporary ban?

Personally, I'm quite tolerant, maybe because I'm not really spammed by PMs.
It will just be a short PM that will be sent ones. If no response, that is enough to know that the person is not interested.

I'd advice listing the names out of those you would love to interview
It can not work out that way because it would be just one person one interview in a month with interesting questions about bitcoin, Nigeria and cryptocurrencies. I will like to invite you as the first person, do you accept the invite? Please send me 'yes' in PM and I will just post the question on the thread and not turn this thread to off topic posts.

Thank you all that replied me.

Depends on what the admin decides. A permanent ban is pretty extreme for an interview request, but understandable if it's a brand new account that spams, so it depends on the situation.
