Adjusted rule 27 and added rule 36:

Quote
27. Using automated translation tools to post translated content in Local boards is not allowed unless the translation is direct, accurate, good and the local board moderator hasn't banned them.[13]

<...>

36. Posting AI generated text is prohibited unless it's clearly labeled as AI generated, appropriate and only done so occasionally or if it's used to directly translate text from one language to another.[14]

Ridiculous and will not age well. If you need it labeled as AI generated, it means it's good enough so you cannot distinguish it from being "human-generated" and - mark my words - in 2 years time you will not even need it to be labeled as "AI generated" because it will be CLEARLY superior to the chimp content all over this place.

LOL. No shit this rant remains and the real work got deleted. At least I have it in my DM should I want to start a better forum. Good luck.

This thread is a compilation of existing forum rules (hence the name starting with "unofficial", the note at the top and bottom of the OP and the list of sources). If you wish to complain about the new AI policy, I'd suggest doing so in the thread where said policy was announced.

I didn't delete it but from what I saw, it seems like it was just an LLM-based rephrasing of the rules thread with fuzzy rearrangements (which subtly changes the meanings of certain rules), grouping up certain rules (making them harder to reference individually), introducing some sort of emphasis / bright-line system (which simply doesn't exist) and re-arranging the rule numbers (introducing confusion for IMO very little benefit). All this thread does is document existing policy. If you wish to change that policy (be it individual rules or how the forum's rules work in general), you can either reply to the thread the rule was announced in (if it's open and not too old) or start a new thread in Meta with your suggestions and reasons for the change.

I think we need to add a new rule regarding use of AI tools in any projects posted in bitcointalk forum.
That should include any userscripts, browser extensions, wallets, and anything with written with code.
I am OK if some AI tools are used, but they need to be clearly mentioned in post credits.
I think it's stipulated in rule 36...based on rule 36, I think anything that has to do with AI is prohibited, neither text generating or AI tools in anything that has to do with forum projects...For me, since using of Al is prohibited, let it be in all ramifications of the forum and let their be no exemptions of any forum projects...
