Hello,

here is a snapshot as of today 6min old blockchain.
I keep them updated and place them here:

http://uploaded.net/f/byfgnu
also about doing a Torrent.

Also do your part keep wallet open - open the ports so seed is working.
Currently I have 30 connections to my node loading from me the blockchain data...the more keep it like this the more healthy the XCN become again.

GTX 1080Ti rocks da house... seriously... this card is a beast³

Thanks!
And if your router has UPNP enabled, you don't even need to open the ports ;-)

Well on windows you have to start the wallet wih -upnp to make it happen as pallas wrote -D
Would also be cool to port the wallet to newer version of Bitcoin Core Client... is it possible?

Hi all,

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate the efforts to keep XCN alive.

I've always admired the elegant, innovative tech in this project.

Don't forget the key role near death experiences play in developing a coin's antifragility.

If XCN can survive its time in the wilderness, it has a correspondingly better chance to survive success.

It surely deserves to survive more than many others.
In the end what are the altcoins for, if not experimenting new technologies?

Now someone please host the blockexplorer :-)

I've always been positive about XCN.

Except for the name.  That was a huge, correctable mistake.

And (along with aminorex) I said so, while providing an alternative.  I registered domains (including an expensive .io) and offered them to the project; I even offered to bribe BF with dev funds if he would change it!

Alas, BF made it clear he was happy for the project to languish in obscurity with its confusing, un-trademarkable name.

So I moved on.  And then, so did he.   Wink

I'm not saying the shitty name alone caused the project to fail, I'm just saying it certainly didn't help.   Cheesy

prob will get delisted in next wave ... stay safe

Why should it be delisted? Exchanged daily volume often exceeds 30 BTC, even 50 at times.

so how to host the ini. miniblockexplorer thing, so others can reach it, do i do it with iis, or apache,
up 24hrs., 7d, yr. but pallas, hi there bro, could you as dev explain what you think is the important part in this blockchain
that someone has to host yet, if done so, wich kind of sort of layout it gets and the traffic on that host if done so whomever is hosting this, is
probably not allowed by most providers, but due to not using vpn, azure, or so

I said "block explorer" because poloniex asked for it.
It is a useful tool indeed.
I think it can be easily deployed on a free trial machine on google cloud or amazon ec2.
There are some sites providing coin services, some are hosting block explorers, maybe they can do it, and get revenue by page ADs. Never had to deal with that yet, though.

Hello guys,

I'm trying to give a hand to help keep this coin alive, that's why I decided to create a shared folder where I'll share a torrent file for Cryptonite blockchain and I'll try to keep that folder updated on a weekly basis or more.

If you want to help by downloading and seeding the blockchain every now and then, you are most welcomed

Here is the link:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0Jm_-4eCvONRjdjd01udEdGQnM?usp=sharing

Thanks

why the link for the blockchain over and over,

this coins wallet works fine, if setup,

but not an explorer, pallas, you put up the miniexplorer thing.
is there not someone that wants to host the explorer, still not available as of now,

I've got a mostly unused vserver going for my private emails - I would host it on there.
But I can't get the wallet to run as the server is using Debian 7 and I haven't had the time yet to try recompiling the wallet. And the binary seems to only run in ubuntu.

Sorry I'm pretty busy with work & life so I can't spend too much time on it. But I would host the explorer - could even map a domain to it if we want to.

link for the blockchain because there's usually a sync problem which pops up every now and then and the only solution to it (till now) is to provide a fresh working blockchain (less than 7 days).

why not hosting the explorer? for me I would love to but unfortunately I know nothing about linux Sad

Compiling the wallet is pretty easy and I can help you in case you experience any problems.

hi there oldschoolgamer,. already got that miner, tnx, using 7950 amd cards, doing 7 a 8 mhs, with that one, on 13.12 amd mining is still the fastest, in win7, some configs, i found out,

after 13.12 will never get those speeds for xcn, got to do it for the miners for new coins, to be mineable,

bad install, delete install,

pallas, got the site up and running, how to proceed, i got banned on polo for saying i fixed a site,, my money tight, for 2months,

what is going on there,

the txs_parse is parsing the hell out of those blocks, 1 and a half million blocks i thought, is just at 40k now,

what if the site is up and running, or do you know how this site works, if setup correctly, with the domain name paid for,
will tell when parsing finishes, how much space does a site like this gonna take on a domain, or to say data traffic it will take, if knowing
the amount hodlers of this coin, several exchanges, and not one explorer, but a lot got it on an exchange, if all users gonna lookup a tx

is a default account gonna be ok, its only going to be read-only, nothing else,
