hi all ...
just a quick question ...
at almost 180MHash and 24hours of mining - not a single block found and no coins in either of my wallets ...
how normal is this?
#crysx
Are you sure you've set you rigs correctly? Not impossible to happen...but something might be not proper configured, specially the spreadcoin.conf ive set conf as per the op - and have setup the miners ( found out only four allowed to be pointed at any wallet at any one time ) as per the port and user / password ... no errors - but mining like crazy - with absolutely not one block hit ( though blocks are being found in the network - or at least it says it is ) ... it seems the setup is correct but im not sure now ... a wallet is running and the miners are pointed to the wallet using the wallets ip and port number as well as username / password ... the conf file is exactly that of the op apart from the username and password ... what else could be wrong? ... im stumped ... #crysx

Just do the math. Divide your hashrate by the network's average and you'll get a rough idea of what % you should be earning. So.. what do you have against decentralization ? Have you named your privkey pool yet ?

Another person has created 3 accounds taking spreadcoin, spread and SPR. (and they didn't even bother putting in a capital S)
Sounds like this person has a business plan. If spreadcointalk really gets cracking, and he gets to sell those names for money, then good for him. And good for us, since this means that people consider spreadcoin so famous and valuable that they are going to pay for a mere username. So no complaints here. PS: I will delete obvious spam accounts once a week. I will also delete accounts that remain inactive (no posts AND no reading activity) for a prolongued period of time. (I will not specify)

Have you named your privkey pool yet ? ok ... currently 4.66GH ... so 180MH / 4660MH = 0.038626609 which means SOMETHING is likely to have at least had a look into the wallets what im saying is NOTHING has happened within a 24hour period in either of the wallets ... ive been a miner for a while and my farm has grown extensively ... ive allocated 180MH to spreadcoin and followed the instructions ... NO coin has ever given me nothing ... no coin ... so either i am doing something wrong - or the chances of 'mining' this coin and getting even small enough to call a deposit into the wallet are very very slim ... is 180MH too little to mine spreadcoin? ... as for having anything against decentralization - where on earth did you get that idea? ... im completely all for it and hell bent on the core of it - as well open sourcing ... what i dont really understand from your response is this - 'Have you named your privkey pool yet ?' was that a dig at me? or actually a piece of information that will be helpful? ... im tired and not too focussed at the moment - its night here :| tanx in advance ... #crysx

Yesterday (1/20) was the first day for me not finding a block but so far today I have found 4 blocks with 7.3 Mh/s. So if you have never found a block since mining with 180 Mh/s then yes there is something set up wrong. Also is that 180 Mh/s going into one wallet or multiple. I have a total of 15 Mh/s going into one wallet. About 7,500 kh/s (avg) from each rig. One has found 4 blocks today and the other has found a block since 1/19/2015 at 17:59

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks

the X11 change to SpreadX11 ,why to do that? Hey man, before you ask ,why not read the previous posts? The answer lies there.

ive set conf as per the op - and have setup the miners ( found out only four allowed to be pointed at any wallet at any one time ) as per the port and user / password ...
rpcthreads option controls maximum numbers of RPC connections, e.g. set rpcthreads=10 in your spreadcoin.conf. I will add it to the readme.

4 mh/s - 4 card asus r9 270 (non x) - its normal ?
Thx
Yes, it's normal. At I20 i get just slightly below 1mh/card. Depending on your GPUs you can probably squeeze another 0.25mh out of each card but that's a high load.

hi all ...
just a quick question ...
at almost 180MHash and 24hours of mining - not a single block found and no coins in either of my wallets ...
how normal is this?
#crysx
Just do the math. Divide your hashrate by the network's average and you'll get a rough idea of what % you should be earning. So.. what do you have against decentralization ? Have you named your privkey pool yet ? ok ... currently 4.66GH ... so 180MH / 4660MH = 0.038626609 which means SOMETHING is likely to have at least had a look into the wallets what im saying is NOTHING has happened within a 24hour period in either of the wallets ... ive been a miner for a while and my farm has grown extensively ... ive allocated 180MH to spreadcoin and followed the instructions ... #crysx Nothing personal was meant by any of what I said. I had to ask because you are a small to medium sized whale swimming in a pond meant for fish. 3.8% of anything is alot, btw. Don't kid yourself on that one. Naming your private pool would be helpful as it would help us determine how whale infested this alleged decentralized coin really is.

Now I know this is probably a stupid question again, but the GPU miner works without spreadcoin.conf if the wallet isn't encrypted? If it shows hashrates, does that mean it's actually working and not just hashing for no reason?
Yes it is working, it is special functionality to simplify mining.

One has found 4 blocks today and the other has found a block since 1/19/2015 at 17:59 Maybe the diff dropped down because of your farm being down?... I mean 4% as Hippie Tech said is significant...
