Unfortunately, for whatever reason, there has been a sudden surge in spam activity on the Checkcoin forum in the past two days - we have had to clean up dozens of posts on three separate occasions.

To prevent the forum continuously filling up with spam and becoming unusable, we have modified the forum settings so that newly registered user's first post must be approved before it is displayed on the forum (once your first post is approved, you will be able to post normally from then on).

Our apologies to new users who just want to report a bug or make a suggestion, but it is a necessary measure for the time being until the spambots disappear. If the board stops being flooded with spam, we will look to remove the effect.

I will look to approve new posts as quickly as possible, and may seek to get several further volunteers to act as moderators so that posts can be approved more quickly outside of my Dutch time zone.

There is absolutely no need to be alarmed. Low volume/price should not deter us from our objective. We've got a roadmap, a set path and all we have to do is proceed as planned regardless of the scares that may pop up along the way. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. I understand why you're may be panicking a little but there is really no need to. Asking for a screenshot is a very superficial way of making yourself feel better because it doesn't actually mean anything. The thing is, for me, I always understand that I do not have any control over the company in which I invest, accepting this from the start means that I accept that I'm solely responsible for the money I'm risking. The simple fact is that you can't change the world around to be the way you want it to be. If you can wrap your head around this, you'll find that uncertainty won't stress you out so much.
The team is working on the project and we all know it's going to be a while before everything is ready. If you really feel too much pressure from not knowing, then you have to re-evaluate your stance, to stay or not too stay 
One other solution would be too decide on an amount of BTC that you can afford to lose and invest only that amount. Then just keep your CKC in your wallet and forget about the coin completely, don't even bother checking the market, wait 6 months and then check your investment and possibly have a very nice surprise

We will be inviting some of Checkcoins community members over to our office next week to give them an update on what we have planned for the coming months. I can understand that your doubt has grown to such proportions that you don't believe in Checkcoin/Bitsend anymore.
I also was at a point of selling my stake and give up on this one, but I decided to sell just a part of my stake to get my roi and hold on to the rest.
I am glad that I did that instead of giving up totally.

I have to agree that there has been a great lack of communication in the past month, but I blame it on inexperience with managing the launch of a coin.
It's not that they are unwilling to give more details or just use the gainings of the ICO for another purpose then it was ment to.
No, I just blame it on plain clumsiness. Nothing more, nothing less.

Afaik GeoJan will visit the office tomorrow and I also had an invitation to meet up with the BitSend team, so their intentions are good without a doubt.
Btw I hope to see some kind of review of Jan's visit here soon or even better at the CKC forum.

The apointment is on 21 of November.
And I have fait that CKC can be a succes.
We as community can also contribute to the succes.
Some people are enthousistic but with altcoin crypto we want to see quick results.
Maurice and I are in the ircs://freenode/checkcoin and when there are more people active we can exchange ideas quickly.

bold is not true. i have been waiting for a vector of a logo for forever and i actually dropped my plans to get actively involved in this in the meantime. if they wanted us to get involved they would give us more to work with. imo its the spirit of a cryptocurrency that everyone can and is welcome to contribute.

i still hold my stake and i will continue to do so for now. my initial excitement has faded slightly tho.

Mainly used by graphic designers.
