I think they gave a lot of Stellar in the first few days and then they changed their mind.
Good for firstcomers!
Yes. But they will pretend to be giving out more Stellar so that their CAP rises on CoinmarketCap. If they can convince CMC they have given away 2 Billion Stellar they will look like they have twice the CAP. Notice how nobody is getting anything, and those that do, only get a tiny 125. But on CMC it looks like they are still releasing so many

Now the price has dropped do you think they will start increasing the amount of stellar they give to each person? They said they were aiming to give everyone $10 worth each, and the price has dropped from about 0.7 cents to about 0.25 cents.

You have to understand, they have to give slowly and in steps, controlling the process, they can't give you your coins at once. Isn't it obvious why? Most people, and I'm not saying you would do it, just dump the given Stellars for BTC, creating the enormous pressure on the currency value. This way, giving you coins slowly and in steps they are actually working in your favour, making sure the coins you receive is worth something. So people, please stop crying for your Stellars as soon as possible, it is bad for you and for everybody else that already have Stellars.

I think not, they announced yesterday that everyone who has not been given anything beyond the 125-150str will not receive anything else. So if you signed up on August 7th or later, you will only receive the 125-150str that you should of received already. To get more Stellar, you are going to have to give someone an invite code. Then both you and your invite will receive more Stellar. Only the person who receives the invite gets extra stellar. I'm not sure if that means you can still get a total of $10 worth of Stellar or not. The invite codes are coming out today sometime. I still have not received it. The whole Stellar Foundation and their way of creating/running a digital currency has been really bad. It seems like they are just a group of people who somehow got the idea to make a digital currency, but never really looked into the community or researched the correct ways to implement this type of project. They must of all had really good resume's since they were able to secure a couple million dollars in funding. Something's going on there that isn't "right". Like seriously? Before launch no one, NO ONE, in their organization thought about multiple facebook accounts or the power of word of mouth? Did they not think that if they announce they will be giving away $10, for nothing but giving them facebook information, that the word wouldn't spread throughout the crypto-community overnight and bleed into the not so nice "hactivists", "scammers", or whatever you want to call them? Then they introduce a verification algorithm that can be easily bypassed? Everyone who was using spam accounts already know where to get old facebook accounts, while also knowing how to verify facebooks and emails without having a phone. What they are doing now will not stop any of them. I guess it's "free" money, so no one should really complain, but I find it hilarious how they are screwing over legitimate people and still providing stellar for those who want to do a little extra work. Then, it's just crazy to me how they create a new centralized distribution strategy, then kick it to the curb, just to start a new strategy that is just as easily subject to scamming. Like do they realize who are the one's that follow cryptocurrency's on a daily basis? It's definitely not a 5th grader or a mom living in Broomfield Hills. It's people who are smart, have plenty of time for free money, are dedicated to finding ways to easily make money through their computer, and they already have plenty of ways to take advantage of verification systems. The main issue is that distribution and creation are centralized. If they would of just launched their system, only added the facebook verification system, and let it breathe on its own. Then they would of seen the possibility of success. Instead, they are controlling everything, which the actions they have taken shows they don't really have confidence in their own organization or those who will use it.

That's not true. Only the person who signed up with an invite code get more stellars, the person who sent invite code get nothing. I have proved it myself.

does someone knows how to change the password from your stellar account?
Hi Benjig, one can't Yes you can ! You can even change your password without your recovery code. Here are what you must do to change password : 1. Login to your stellar account with your username and passw 2. Change your URL to https://launch.stellar.org/#/change_password3. Fill in your new password, that's all. No recovery code is ever needed.

Sort of silly though, right? What is the incentive to invite people to get free stellar? If more people get free stellar, wouldn't the price go down? What happens to those who signed up after August 9th? Do they no longer get any stellar besides their 125-150STR they got? This shit is so confusing and weird. Feels like Bitcoin = Capitalism while Stellar = Communist Russia

bx.in.th is an excellent exchange, with two minor problems: - first Bitcoin withdrawal took 3 hours to manually process. After that BTC withdrawals were quick. First Stellar withdrawal also took so long, it said "please allow up to 1 business day" (for Stellar ?!?), had to write an email to support to ask them if they can speed up manual withdrawal process, and they did.
I know why, been in contact with the owner. He does not have many people helping him on this, it's a manual process. Indeed he needs to get more resources to scale up. - BTC withdrawal fee is enormous 0.002 (!?!) much higher than on other exchanges, and yes they keep 0.0019 and send 0.0001 in your transaction. Other than this they work fine, site is quick, lot of options, very useful.
Yes, it was raised to prevent too many withdrawals from the system.
