My guess is to either sell now or when the mass amount of invite codes go out. The price might rise when they go out, then will definitely go down once everyone starts to dump their stellar. Can't tell me that all those people with fake facebook accounts don't have a bunch sitting around just for this.

Stellar Foundation does not need to use bots, as they have the ability to control Inflation and have minted all the STR. 1% inflation occurs annually. Newly created STR are distributed according to votes from individual accounts. However, since votes are weighted according to the number of STR an account holds---and the SDF controls at least 5% of all STR---they can continually mint new money: If the Foundation is the beneficiary of new stellars, the stellars can be used to support our operations or to extend the direct signup and increased access programs. excerpt from the mandateI am thinking that this must be a test run and that the SDF plans to reset the ledger so that bots/hackers/scammers will not control the future of the network? |

It's supposed to be ripple 2.0... But it's centralised and the developoers can control the inflation. It has some potential but it's technology hasn't been used constructively that much yet. There's a good chunk of information in the OP if you'd like to know more. |

Is founder Joyce Kim quitting Stellar due to its unethical behavior? Last night she posted a link to a personal blog post, on the stellartalk.org community forum. What does it mean to not have a bank account in America? You hold your money in cash. You have a hard time getting health insurance. You can’t buy things online where goods are cheaper. You are at risk of losing your money or being robbed. Your cash loses value just from inflation. You lose time standing in line at check cashing places. You don’t have a good credit score so you cannot do anything that requires good credit, like signing a lease. You are effectively shut out of what normal life looks like for all other Americans. In this day and age, it is nearly impossible to take care of our most basic needs — food, shelter and education — without a bank account.
This is not just an “immigrants in America” issue. This is a “being poor in America” issue.
Note: Your cash loses value just from inflation.
It sound like she is taking a definite stance against Stellar's exploitative Inflation tax. Go Joyce! |

I think the question is why she felt the need to bring it up last night. Stellar if flailing, if not imploding, now that the distribution plan has fallen apart. Distribution failure compounded with the community catching on to its hard coded global Inflation tax system that favors the STR wealthy, hackers, scammers, founders, investors, employees... I would like to think Joyce could move on to establish something that matches the stated ideals of the Stellar foundation in action, not just marketing hype---a system of real value and meaning. |
