Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

the win client works fine u should delete ur sterlingcoin folder and retry and dont delete wallet.dat if u used it on pools |

The windows client should work. You are the only person so far to have an issue. Please make sure you are running as administrator and have the dll in the same directory as the Sterlingcoin-qt.exe |

I just tried accessing through a proxy... didn't work got binned off straight away 'sterlingcoin.org.uk is not accessible through proxy' |
