Ok mate. Same thing. Cannot stake an encrypted wallet. Wallet must be unlocked/not encrypted. So you will not get any more coins by encrypting. Only by sending all coins at once to the same address when it is empty. This will increase your stake weight.

Sadly once encrypted you can only change the password.

Your one option is to send the coins to a paper wallet and make a note of the privkey (privkey is so important, without it the coins are lost)

Close the Sterlingcoin Wallet

Delete the wallet.dat (backup first) /users/user/appdata/roaming/sterlingcoin/

Then restart the Sterlingcoin Wallet

Go to Help>Debug Window>Console and type importprivkey "yourprivkey" and hit enter

The address from the paper wallet will be imported to your Sterlingcoin wallet along with your Sterlingcoin.
