i.e., bounties for people/businesses using some of this stuff, implementing it into app's etc

can you be a bit more concrete? I am sure that we need to do this. However, we need to have an idea first.

My last idea was to build an asset tipbot so that the average joe can create and tip his own coin. This would also beneficial for the ePeso project. Tipping is becoming more important again. ChompyZ just started a bounty for a via twitter tipping video in the other thread. Changetip becoming huge...

PilotofBtc might look into it over the weekend. I pledge for the use of some clearinghouse funds for developing an asset tip bot if this is technically feasable. I am open to all arguments.

spend some time looking at the storj forums to get an idea on how they go about this, it is somewhat free form, creative

hint: they dont tell people what to do, they enable them and reward them

I will have a look at storj. The idea sounds very promissing.

http://morellian.com/

Coming in 2015.
The Morellian project will utilize the blockchain technology of Viacoin and ClearingHouse to solve one of the biggest problems facing the art, photography, wine, and memorabilia worlds: Forgery

Hundreds of millions of dollars are spent annually on forged artwork, unauthorized prints, and fake memorabilia. Working with galleries, auction houses, and registries around the world, we are seeking to put an end to this growing problem.

The blockchain notary in ClearingHouse will serve as a living history for each piece that is entered into it. Potential buyers will be able to know that the piece is authentic, as well as it's transaction history, so there are no question marks hanging over your next purchase.

Do you have any big art dealers or auction houses lined up for this? I assume you have some way to monetize it. I guess I'm not sure what you are notarizing here... a proof of authenticity perhaps? Now will you prove that a notarized document is authentic? All the notary service does is prove the registration of a digital file in the block chain. It doesn't do anything to time that file to a physical good.

I'm not saying it can't be done, I just don't see any info on how it will work and I'm quite curious.

i agree with these questions.

i think you need to rethink this a bit.

personally if i were to do this, i would focus on digital artists.  understand their workflows and what apps they use and then build plug ins for those apps

for example i would focus, or think about focusing on two markets:

1. mobile phone user market

securing the rights to and monetizing content created users.  this is mimicking the instagram model.  similar to how GEMS is redoing whatsapp with an opt in advertising model.

remember in these markets the most important people (think in terms of twitter, myspace) are the content producers with higher popularity.  basically what you are really creating is a platform for the Kim Karadashians and Paris Hiltons of the world to monetize more of the content and followers they have.

2. 3d printing market

securing right to 3d objects for 3d artists and builders.  here you need to do partnerships with 3d print makers so that they adopt the protocol. there must be something in it for them.  you need to figure out the flow of the token and how not only the artists but also the 3d print maker benefits from protecting the artists IP rights.

-----

okay that is enough free consulting from me for today, need to go back to making some money lol

No I think the tipbots are kinda "central" and you only pay fees when you ask the tipbot to withdraw to your address
doge tipbot is on github hold on

dogetipbot is forked from this
https://github.com/vindimy/altcointip
but I think that is only for reddit which would be a start
asset tipping would be great and xcp or xdp do not have that right now

Hmm... maybe over the long weekend I'll take a look at the code and see what I can come up with. But, it would cost money to host this... perhaps it could run on a free/cheap VPS at first.

Hi,

did you have chance to look into the matter? I also contacted someone on irc in order to evaluate feasability and costs.
