Good advice! Thanks. Sometimes team is working harder with other things than looking at the price.
Will keep eyes on this!

Think you could use the 64bit miner. But need little change I think. Looking at that right now. Think Spexx posted something about that!

Presumably you're asking about the GUI frontend? If Spexx's GUIs are compiled for x64 and not x86, I think you have two options (since the source isn't available):

Here's my video for Coin Magi : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEAlIAPoAZ4. It's in French but partially-translated to English. I'll finish to translate it until I have time to do so, probably tomorrow.

Hi guys I'm new to this whole thing. I decided to join and started mining Magi yesterday. I just wanted to know if it is safe for my cpu. I have an i5, the temp doesn't go more than 50c. But is it safe for it to run at 100% all the time? Please let me know. Thank you

if your pc is clean inside (no dust) its not a problem, only it will be hard to use the pc when its mining unless its a 2nd pc and you are not using it to work or game.

Cool Jethromoonbeam! Welcome in the great Magi community.
If you have any questions just feel free to ask here.
Sometimes answer will come quick or will take some time, but thats because of the time-difference. Smiley

hey, is there a 32bit miner?

If you mean 32 bit Windows then yes - my package supports 32 bit. It might have Win64 in the title but this is only for historic reasons. The 64 bit and 32 bit miners are both included in the one package now, whereas they used to be two separate packages. The miner to use is auto-detected by the software at runtime.

This is the all-singing-all-dancing Autominer package for advanced users:-

https://www.dropbox.com/s/dw7yjssjrrqp0m1/XMGpoolminerWin64.exe

For something simpler to use, see here:-

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg10712548#msg10712548

- Yesterday Bittrex low for XMG: 0.00002333.
- Today BID sum value for XMG at Bittrex: 0.6675
Better create market for Magi not stupid movies or PR slogans.

You are right - I observed this myself. Maybe there are not enough people buying XMG at the moment. This would account for the somewhat lower prices recently. Certainly I have exhausted all my spare BTC in buying XMG recently. Got dumped on at silly prices more than once. I have taken several thousand XMG out of circulation and they are now safely staking away for me in my wallet(s).

A few weeks ago the situation was the other way round - too many buyers compared to sellers. The price of XMG was rising slowly.

If people want to let go of their XMG at any price then that is their lookout and their choice. I would consider it as an opportunity to grab some cheap XMG while it is available, not an opportunity to have a poke at people making movies and slogans. I would not go on an XMG buying spree in order to prop up the price on the markets - why should I? The last time that our UK Government did such a thing trying to prop up the UK Pound, they lost a fortune (thank you Mr Norman Lamont - I remember it well). You cannot buck the market. I am not losing any sleep over short-term fluctuations in the market. Go grab some cheap XMG.

Thank you for your answer! My pc is brand new, so dust is not a problem. I'm currently mining and gaming and everything runs smoothly. I get 150 KH/S. Any ideas? Is everything ok?

Welcome to the XMG Magi community Smiley

The temperature there is well under control and there is no need to worry. Do keep an eye on it though and clean things out when necessary.

I have the miner running 24/7 at higher temperatures than than on some machines with no problems whatsoever. In general, Intel chips will run at higher temperatures than AMD chips.

150 Kh/s ? Yeah that is just fine mate Cheesy

What CPU chip precisely is that? It is a lot faster than my AMD 9590 overclocked to 4916 MHz.

I think your stated hashrate is twice what it ought to be for that chip. Huh

Bang! You're dead. Lol.

I looked up your chip at https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php and there are three with that designation at different clock speeds. My rule of thumb for 64 bit Windows XMG miner speed is to take the Passmark figure for the chip and divide by 100 to give approximate miner speed in Kh/s.

This suggests that 50 Kh/s might be underperforming a bit. You can squeeze more Kh/s out of the miner by running multiple instances of the miner with a single thread, as opposed to a single instance of the miner running multiple threads.

Notice some competition is trying to lower the price of Magi. Be aware of that! While Magi is growing more competion will try or even pay to do things like that.
