Hi Spexx, Im using your XMGpoolminerWin64, but is there anyway to add proxy parameter? I have to run minerd directly at work because i cant set proxy parameter in XMGpoolminerWin64 program. Or is there any way to setup multiplex mode with minerd directly? Thanks You can add the proxy parameter as an additional minerd switch. The Setup program will prompt you for this information with the question "Do you wish to add any custom switches to the minerd command line?" and offer a text input box. You should type in this box the following:- --proxy=[PROTOCOL://]HOST[:PORT] where PROTOCOL, HOST and PORT are your required proxy address. There is no way to set up multiplex mode directly, nor is there any way to force fail-over in the event of a mining pool going offline, which is why I wrote the software wrappers to do it Hope this helps. Oh i see, thank you, you are so great Spexx

Windows XMG Miner Speed ControllerBug fixI discovered a bug in this utility. Oops. I made a mistake in some copy/paste editing and left some extra lines of useless code in a couple of places. In one case this had no effect, but in the other case if you selected 20 percent CPU usage limit the miner process(es) would go into a permanently suspended state. Not good. If you have the current version of this software, I bet that you will not be able to resist the temptation to go and try this one out right now. Yeah! Go ahead. Make my day Obviously I have fixed it now and there is a bug-fixed version available on the usual link:- https://www.dropbox.com/s/wbtmlktiy32b3xw/XMGMinerSpeed.exeDownload the executable file and run it. This is a self-extracting Zip file which extracts to folder C:\XMGminer\MinerSpeed by default. Once unzipped, run C:\XMGminer\MinerSpeed\Setup.bat which creates a startup script and desktop icon for you. If you have downloaded this utility before, then you do not need to run the Setup.bat file again. Happy hashing

Oh i see, thank you, you are so great Spexx You are very welcome. I should have included a tip about using --proxy in the dialog window in the same way as the tip about --benchmark there. I have a new release of this software coming soon and will include more help where needed. Your query there proves the need for it.

Guys one question! I get some "stratum requested work restart". Is it normal or they shouldn't be there at all?

lokking for best cpu coin to mine, is it this one ? yes How many Magis you can mine with AMD FX-4300 @24h? Hey, I'm mining with a FX-6300 (overclocked to around 5 GHz). My hashrate is between 80-95 khashes/s and I'm getting ~10 coins per day. You should use "minerd-x64-bdver2". btw. I returned after a long break, nice to see such a big community!

For a FX-4300 I think it's OK. Try to turn up the the -t parameter, maybe you get some more khashes.

So I've tried Wolf miner and I'm getting 38kHs@3threads using bdver2 is it accurate speed?
I'm mining with a FX-6300 (overclocked to around 5 GHz). My hashrate is between 80-95 khashes/s and I'm getting ~10 coins per day. You should use "minerd-x64-bdver2".
Math time! Both cores we're comparing here have the same architecture, Vishera - good! That makes things pretty cut-and-dry. We're comparing the 6-core FX-6300 @ 5GHz(3.5 GHz base) and the 4-core FX-4300 @ 3.8GHz. First, we'll figure out the average hash rate: since Juke suggested it was 80-95 khash/s, the average is (80+95)/2=87.5 khash/s. Next, we'll find the hash rate/core: since the FX-6300 has 6 six cores @ 5GHz, we see that ((87.5 khash/s)/(6 cores @ 5GHz)) = 14.58 khash/(s*core @ 5GHz). Since you have Vishera cores, too, we can probably do a direct comparison of GHz to GHz, so we'll substitute in your clock speed: (14.58 khash/(s*core @ 5GHz))*(3.8GHz/5GHz) = 10.08 khash/(s*core @ 3.8GHz). So multiplying by 3 cores gives you your expected average hashrate 10.08 khash/(s*core @ 3.8GHz)*(3 cores @ 3.8GHz) = 33.25 khash/s. I'd say that 38-ish khash/s is about right!

So I've tried Wolf miner and I'm getting 38kHs@3threads using bdver2
Point of order here So you are using Windows miner, yes? The fastest minerd.exe is this one:- https://www.dropbox.com/s/uudj2npeyixesjb/Spexx-Win64-generic-XMGminerd.exeThis self-extracting Zip file contains Windows binaries for 64 and 32 bit. The "generic", "avx" and avx2" binaries are all the same file (there is some history there - do not worry about it) and will give a hashrate just a little bit faster than any architecture-specific miner. You can have a lot more fun getting to grips with the full software package:- https://www.dropbox.com/s/dw7yjssjrrqp0m1/XMGpoolminerWin64.exeDownload and run. This is a self-extracting Zip file which unzips to folder C:\XMGminer by default. Once unzipped, run C:\XMGminer\Setup.bat and enter the required details. This gives you options for fail-over in the event of a mining pool going offline, plus it gives you the option of spreading your hashpower across multiple mining pools. The current version is a bit clunky and needs more built-in instructions, but don't worry - version 4 is on its way Happy hashing
