Isnt this 500XMG minimum to enter the PoI a bit too much for newcomers? For example: Ive been mining for 1 month and now I have 200XMG but its getting harder to mine and the rewards are getting smaller and smaller making this 500XMG a long run, dont you think? Just a thought, not complaining or anything else.

I understand that a PoI is a proff of INTEREST, so nothing wrong with trying to reward those that have been mining for a while but you have to remember that before 10 XMG per day was normal, now, if you are a regular person, getting 1 or 2 XMG a day is the new normal haha  Grin

Understand what you are saying.
On the other side 500 XMG is almost 5$.
For the calculation of the interest its easy for me if there are some coins in the wallets.

I really understand what you are trying to explain here, but maybe you are able to invest now that the price is really low, with that PoI you will get a nice interest after few months and im sure that the price will raise a lot when @joelao95 release the new improvements/features.

So maybe is a good choice for you, well off i'm assuming that you have some money to invest and ofc im not telling you that you need to invest is just an idea Wink

Click in wallet on the address you would like to use in the app.
Click on Show QR code below.
Scan with the app the Qr code. (make sure its without label)
Than it will show in your app!

Thanks for replying 111magic and okae. I got it what you guys are saying. Actually, while I was writing the post, I thought about this ideia, that would be wiser to buy enough XMG to reach the minimum and thats what Im doing right now haha  Grin

Can somebody do a check-up on the Magi-wallet and find out what is the reason the wallet takes some time to start.
Would be good if Magi speed up the wallet.
Thanks in advance.

fast start is missing

Fast start (QT opens in seconds as compared to mins),

its basical a "improvement" that at startup just check less of blockindex and this way fullfill that part of startup much faster

its no improvement just less startup checks

Additionally, I was thinking that the slow start might be caused by a lot of transactions in the wallet too.  The way PoS is set-up on this coin it encourages a lot of small value amounts to be generated.  (This causes issues with the block explorers too if there are too many transactions in one address.)  You can fix this by sending your coins to an address in a new wallet and retiring the old wallet.

Maybe we should think about this a bit when we do the next update, if we had a command like “setstakesplitthreshold” or increased the minimum stake time, and added a block reward cap, this might help prevent so many small transactions from being made.

Yes, we need merging staking.
