I'm surprised no one from team XMG popped up in this thread, seems to be an interesting idea https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1084908.0A good alternative to those not interested in running their desktop computer 24/7 and still want to stake/run a node for XMG.

Didn't know XMG has so many friends in NL. Interesting overview Does this represents the number of wallets or coin percentage, meaning almost 40% of the coins are in the USA? What is the url of this diagram?

Block explorer, https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/#!network, tab Geo-Locations. As far as I understand, it checks the location of the installed wallets. Most coins have a huge percentage belonging to USA, which is in my opinion due to 2 factors: - just a guess: People from US are more involved in crypto than any other country - most servers (nodes, services providers, exchanges) are located in the US Compared to other coins, XMG has a lower percentage of USA based wallets, at least from what I was able to see. btw: What happened to your tech guru Spexx? Didn't see him for a while. Was always interesting reading his posts.

read first page about the unique way XMG POS in fact if u have to much to old XMG they not stake at all..... because the way XMG is set up coins who dont mint lose weight over time and faster if bigger coinpile (based on percentage of total coins) XMG is a pain in the ass to stake need lot micromanagement i hope one of the improvements joe working on address that issue

What do you think the strategy is of a person like this who has such a high hash rate to force lower rewards? user---anonymous KH/s---10,149 XMG/Day-----138.019
I assume they are using an energy efficient GPU or FPGA and just want to make everyone with a cpu waste more energy.
They have speeds 30x-40x faster than an average cpu miner
Would be nice if we could all get our hands on an energy conserving GPU miner so we could be on an even playing field with these thugs.
Imagine 3000 KH/S on a 40-60 watt($99) GPU compared to a 150 KH/s on a 100 WATT ($200+)CPU
Everyone could throttle to around 400 KH/s and then ramp things up if the thugs appear with very low power consumption

I suggested looking at the way XRA works. I like how presstab implemented a mechanism to encourage stakeholders holder their coins longer. Maybe even some inspiration for DMD? It's also nice that the wallet shows the amount I can send after fees, so I don't need to calculate and just copy & paste that amount. Unfortunately it seems no one here shares my interest. No, this is no advertising for this coin, just a suggestion to the XMG team to get some ideas how to optimize their PoS mechanism.

btw, just a heads up. In the mining section someone asked what coin to mine with a network of 50 dedicated servers and got XMG as suggestion. I asked him to stay away unless he's mining with lower hashrate and spreading it on several pools...but you never know.

Just a heads up: Cryptsy paused trading and withdrawals engine to "fix the bugs". So currently not even trading possible (and no wd of other coins like Magi).

So this explains why Cryptsy isn't listed anymore in Coinmarketcap under the Markets tab for an specific alt coin. I hope the could resolve the issue of BTC withdrawls, otherwise I would be stuck with a little BTC I have made by trading.
