BTC price dropped because a lot of BTC was stolen!
Somebody else read the same as me about this?

Yes, Bitfinex was hacked and almost 120K BTC was stolen.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1573336.0;topicseen

I've since decided to only leave active trades and a bit of spare BTC capital on the exchanges and store everything else in a safe wallet.

There is also a massive war going on between ETH and ETC which has also caused people to move their BTC and Alts to join in.

The BTC price seems to be stabilising now, and it looks like ETH is winning the battle with ETC.

/Updates (06/22/2016):
/New wallet 1.3.0rc1 available:
/Download link: http://coinmagi.org/bin/m-wallet-1.3.0rc1/

which wallet to use ? old or this new one ?

I tried the above wallet faced an issue (while re-organizing coins in my wallet, i sent few coins to the same address and it didn't do anything other than deducting the transaction fees). As stated clearly, this wallet is still not ready for production use. You can use it for your testing purpose but its advised to use the production versions and not the developer versions (revisions)

I didn't try this yet, as I'm waiting for the production version. But I think there are some settings for the conf file that do the reorg. Some of the other guys have been using it so may be able to advise. The conf file should be in %APPDATA%\magi, but it isn't created by default, and I'm not sure on the filename.

The following lines are added to the conf (but not sure if that carries out the splitting automatically or if you still need to transfer your money (I'm sure one of the guys using the new wallet will help here),
Code:
# Transaction under stake with a value greater than the threshold is being splitted
stakesplitthreshold=600

# Transactions with values less than the threshold will combine into one
stakecombinethreshold=30
Release notes for the new wallet are here: -
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg15314290#msg15314290

Create the file (name it magi.conf) and adjust the settings to the numbers you want, then restart wallet.  Location of the file is (%APPDATA%\magi).  The above numbers should work 600 and 30, I personally prefer larger block sizes and am using:
stakesplitthreshold=2200
stakecombinethreshold=800

This is maintaining my block sizes right around 1100 which stake daily and when I receive smaller amounts from mining I just manually combine them to one of the larger blocks about once a day.  It's working great and the wallet is much faster.

if u goal ist average 1100 XMG size blocks use this values and u will never ever have to manual combine anything

stakesplitthreshold=1000
stakecombinethreshold=1500

this way u will have coin pile between size 500 and 2000 (average 1250) in ur wallet that in a never ending automated circle split and merge and absorb also any new generated dust by mining

a true zero micromanagement POS solution

I decided to take the plunge and use the new client on my main wallet today. I'll give that a go once the network has fininshed syncing. I added all the hosts to the magi.conf but still taking forever to find new hosts. I will see if it has found any more tomorrow.

Thanks Joe, I'll add them to my wallet configuration and see if that increases the number of connections. Its strange how slowly the new wallet find new connections compared to the old one.

Looking forward to the release version. No pressure though, take your time

There was a big sell yesterday (maybe somebody testing the resistance of the coin) - its now back to a higher level than before the sell, that is very good news for magi. If that happened a few months ago the price would be sitting at 1400-1500 today. Now its at 2100. There are definitely more people watching the market.

Quiet weekend on the Magi forums - I guess everybody must be enjoying the sun. Trading volume is holding up - managed to get enough trades in to push some (very small) funds into Bittrex, so I'll see if I can help improve the liquidity there and when the funds increase further will work on some arbitrage. I'll also use any potential POI earnings to help the Bittrex liquidity.

Has anybody seen EGC (Evergreen coin)? It has a similar concept niche to Magi, with respects to being environmentally friendly and also having a good community. Looks like the coin is doing really well right now. To me it looks like good inspiration for the Magi community. They went from $2k market cap to >$1m

Looks interesting, when my current hosting contract comes to an end next year I'll bear you in mind and take a look at your services in more detail. I might have enough Magi accumulated by then to start using it for payments as well as accumulation.

You need to add the nodes into a wallet configuration file. you need to create it in the following location %APPDATA%\Magi\magi.conf (assuming you are running a windows wallet), I think magi will pick the configuration file up automatically - but I didn't check to prove it yet
