Looks like the XMG price is on the rise again after a pretty high consolidation level - to me, Magi seems quite often to be more volatile on a Friday. Wonder why that is. Wonder if its going to be another great end of the week. Magi is my favourite coin =)
well you give me idea about your assessment i will watch this coin by now and try to see if i can place my position in buying this coin to a perfect timing.
good luck mate thank you hope to see more progress from the dev too.
Oops, I've probably Jinxed Magi for this weekend now, I find that when I post an observation the opposite tends to happen =)

:-) no worries amigo. Value is still very good. Buyers might be waiting for a little drop to buy some XMG.
I will take a look at those exchanges this evening.

I'm sure if we target a couple that look good, the community will rally round to help get the coin listed. The difficulty will be getting enough liquidity available onto the exchanges to enable a good trading experience. I'm not in a position to help too much there right now - I'm still trying to get funds into Bittrex, but trying to keep my Poloniex sell chains in order after the recent price increase and need to keep the volatility in mind. If there are some people in the community that are using some of the larger exchanges that list a lot of coins - that will be a good start too =)

I am in 0 way to help but it is always better if we can get it on more exchanges this is a great coin... I also think it would be great to get on a Chinese exchange

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I agree with that. I thought Magi (XMG) was on a votinglist of a Chinese exchange.

Do you know which exchange? If so, please post the link, and I'll vote for Magi (so long as I can understand what is going on o the site =) ), I'm sure a lot of others will too.

Spot 143 at the moment. So Magi could use a lot of votes there!

Looks like it needs people to have joined and have an order history to vote. I'll take a quick look at the site to see how legit it is before joining and voting.

Looks like BTER is the 32nd most popular exchange with $200k daily volume  - bittrex is $520k in comparison. Its been around since at least 2013 and has about 130 trading pairs registered split between BTC and CNY. Registered offices are in the British Virgin Islands. IP address is based in USA (changed 40 times in 12 years), looks like its owned by a Chinese holding company. Doesn't feel any less legit than other exchanges. There is little to no presence on bitcointalk (which is understandable as most people using it will be from China). One thing that needs a bit more research is that most of their trading is in a currency called GEMZ - which I never heard of.

I might push a few DOGE to the exchange and do some trading there.

Here is some information about GEMZ - looks like its a social messaging coin which must be used in China. Its pretty much only used by this exchange - its probably a good way for people over their to trade into BTC. Doesn't look as dodgy as I first thought. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=758004.0

My feeling is that its safe to register on here.

Hi,
a bit strange to meet people from crypto community never heard about Bter exchange

BTER has quite a controversial reputation - eg check the story happened during Lisk ICO
the problems with deposits and withdrawals of some coins (eg XCP, DASH, NXT, XMR) is a usual matter for BTER
And though it's safe to register it's not so safe to use, at least for the customers outside China.

As for GEMZ (GetGemz) - it's a CounterParty token, delisted from Poloniex, but still traded at BitTrex, with no Chinese relations,
more info you can find in the official blog

Looks like you need to do a fair amount of trading to be able to vote on that exchange - it'll be difficult to add enough votes on here without massive effort from the community, and even then we need to be able to drum up enough interest from the Chinese markets and make sure there is enough Magi on the exchange not to end up with a liquidity problem.

Thanks for the information Yefet, I need to brush up on my knowledge of the exchanges outside of the top 10-20.

The GEMZ BCT post didn't look like it had a Chinese origin. I thought it was very strange that about 95% of the coin is traded on BTER. I do have a vague recollection of seeing it on Poloniex now you mention it...

Do you still have the ability to load your old wallet on the Pi? Maybe its possible to create a new wallet on the PC and simply transfer the funds from the Pi to a new address rather than restore the wallet. Another option could be to check the encoding on the file, long-shot, but maybe the Linux wallet is using a different text encoding mechanism to the windows.

Hi ricket,

Yes there currently is a PoI, the rate depends upon the number of people who join. This link should give you all the right details for joining and information about the campaign: -

Where is the network hash rate coming from?

According to http://poolinfo.coinmagi.org/ the network hash rate is 76.60 Mh/s, however the top two pools Suprnova and MaxMiners only account for about 30MH/s of this. The remaining pools listed barely scrape 8MH/s between them.

So what am I missing?
