Strange the huge pump on Bittrex is coming at the same time. Volume more than 500 btc.

Not strange, bagholders normally keep staking. (me included)
Now cannot dump on pumper because of wallet maintenance Bittrex.
(only had a small amount on bittrex which I dumped)

Was a very well timed pump due to maintenance - I didn't even notice it going on, so didn't react manually, was too busy trying to get my wallet back up, glad I had the liquidity bot running.

If you want to trade - use the following link - they disabled it - but its still active
https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-XMG

If you want to transfer/widthdraw, you'll have to wait for the wallet to come out of maintainence

Not include the two nodes Joe provided? Another split...
My pool is at 1444932 block with net hash 50Mh/s, but supernova is at 1445149 block with net hash 106Mh/s.
It seems the nodes are not connected.

i believe i got error from at least 1 of the other 2 nodes, connect list is checked against latest chain.
Thanks oVPN - the connect list worked perfectly

A quick recap to help others: -

To check your wallet is on the correct chain
You can type getblockcount under console to check to see if you are up to the correct block and compare against https://poolinfo.systms.org/#magi

To resync the blockchain
- Backup your wallet.dat
- Exit from m-wallet.exe
- Add oVPN's list to %Appdata%\magi\magi.conf (create the file if it doesn't exist)
- Delete your blocks, database, .lock and peers.dat files
- Download the blockchain and extract to your magi folder from http://coinmagi.org/bin/block-chain/
- Run m-wallet.exe (version 1.4)

If you are missing coins
Type repairwallet under console (make sure you have a backup of your wallet.dat)

oVPN's connect list
Code:
connect=213.32.21.37
connect=192.99.63.44
connect=89.34.96.133

Good summary!

Here's the defaults for linux

To resync the blockchain - Linux
- Backup your ~/.magi/wallet.dat
- Exit magi wallet
- Add oVPN's list to ~/.magi/magi.conf (create the file if it doesn't exist)
- Delete your blocks, database, .lock and peers.dat files in ~/.magi/
- Download the blockchain and extract to your magi folder from http://coinmagi.org/bin/block-chain/
- Start magi wallet

this will force your wallet only to these nodes

i have added these connects (why not "addnode"?  is there a difference?), deleted the others, deleted everything but the wallet.dat, and updated my wallet.  after doing this multiple times, the only thing i have not done is completely redownloaded the chain (i used the zip Joe provided earlier).  I keep getting stuck on 1444833.  it is always that block number for me (i commented earlier in here about it too)

is there something i am doing wrong?  or should i let the whole chain download on its own?

Possible you need remove all other addnode in your original magi.conf. Just keep those connects in the conf file.

I think I have split as my wallet keeps loosing connections (using Joe's 2 nodes only via connect).
Connections keep cutting in/out.

Stupiest way to protect chain is using "connect" vs "addnode"
"connect" for only connection to this address
"addnode" allow other addresses

But now, untill dev solving problems with splitting, there is now way except using "connect".

Thanks. I do see a potential for this coin thats why I'm trying it out. I'm a writer for a local blog and I've been tasked by my boss to write about crypto currency. Although I can see a good community I cannot promote a coin that will potentially have angry readers cursing me and our blog. I hope all will be fixed soon and less problems ahead.

I've been finally able to recover the coins but now. Stuck again and cannot sync. I want cryptocoin community to grow and I hope that people here where I am can start and explore coins. As someone living in a 3rd world country I think coins like xmg has potential. But I cannot have my readers try a coin and have problems like this one their 1st coin. That would make their 1st experience a bad one and potentially lose interest in coins altogether.

Tried check wallet could not find any errors. Still at 3 coins. If I can't fix this then I will give up with coin magi and would have to add it to the don't trust coins part of my blog. I can't support a coin where you can suddenly lose 95% of your coins without any warning.

Try the solution Joe posted. It worked good for everybody.
It will work for you. My apologies for the issue.
Personal i think every currencies will have some issues sooner or later but most important for a currency is that if something happend the dev, team & community work on it and try to fix it asap.

If i look at Magi i'am very proud on our dev, team & community. Magi received the highest score on the trust verification in 2014. After that our developer worked next on his busy job on Magi & is doing very well. Specially this year with the new website, relaunch of the standalone payment gateway & great looking roadmap.

So what i try to say is; no worries amigo.
Give Joe little time and trust.
If you can not recover your coins i will personal give those to you!

Regards
111magic

After 5 attempts, finally my wallet is fully synced.... but lost my 4,907 Magi, and we lost 560 on minerclaim with this issue. This is sad, and not fair. We was creating a community to start mining this coin here in Venezuela, where the gpu hardware is very spensive, and the CPU coins are a good option, and i I chose this for its potential but But the facts show that I was wrong. I agree with Myth888, we can not promote a coin if we lost money in our firts try on it. Sorry about my English.
