Any way to start staking after boot, without entering password, windows 10?

You can create a Windows .bat file or Powershell script, and have it run via Task Scheduler or at login.

The script would need to contain the executable and arguments to unlock for staking only...

Code:
@echo off
"C:\[insert wallet location here\bin\64\magid.exe" walletpassphrase YOUR_PASSWORD 9999999 true

Even when using the GUI wallet, it relies on this daemon, and you can even add it to your PATH values in Windows if you prefer.

The code above inserted into something like "unlock.bat" will do what you want. Be advised of the obvious security risk here.

Please don't do that. When you ask a web community for help, even if you receive none it's common courtesy to share the specifics of the problem and the solution. Not doing so makes trying to find answers to problems nightmarish.

My bad.   I was pretty specific, I thought.  I also figured by doing an "Edit", I would not have to waste anyone's time.  I will use your advise in the future.  The answer to my problem was I needed to delete the pears.dat file as well as deleting the "blocks" and "database" folders.  Then replace those folders with the downloaded block chain and the pears.dat file recreates itself.  No more sync issue.

Overall things seem to be back to normal. Haven't been on here a lot lately. Had a cook quit at my second job and I stepped up and filled in. Just popped in to say hello again.

Seems everybody took a short timeout.  Grin

Btw.: I must say, when there are not visible attacks on the network, and one stakes coins, without thinking on price, trade volume and fear of pump and dumps. IS very relaxing.  Cheesy

A question for those who may know.  I am mining on Minerclaim,  under last blocks found I see that I found a block, in the percentage it shows the amount in RED.  Where others show green.  Just curious why.  I could figure out how to attach a pix of what I am seeing I would.

it's to do with the number of shares needed to get that block.

under ideal conditions the total number of shares given out to miners to get a block should equal 100%

But due to the way things work, sometimes a block can be completed early (i.e. if a miner got lucky and his share's were enough to generate a valid block) Or late (multiple miners working on the same share of the block, This can see going over the 100% mark.)

So:
If a block is found "early" then the shares are below 100% and so shown in green
If it takes more shares than expected (over 100%) then it's shown in red.

First, check your config-file if there is
posii=1
enabled.

Second, encrypt and unlock your wallet (passphrase).

Third, if you have mature coins it will take a while (several hours or even one day) till you get some network weight.

You can check all this after some time in your wallet:
tab "console" -> type in: getmininginfo

Even there is no(t yet) time shown you can see if staking works...

Edit: if you made any changes to your config or passphrase: close and restart your wallet
Edit2: You can also check the POS-guide here: http://telegra.ph/MAGI-PROOF-OF-STAKE-MINTING-MANUAL-01-09

Don't developers care about the volume and price of Magi? Still a little powerless. The coin situation is really worrying.

Well man it's not worring, soon some pump and bumpers will come along and we will be able to make some cash.  Grin

Btw.: I was trading until 2 weeks or so to some how try to make some gains and keep the trade volume up, but I lost more that I made. (Well I'm no trader)
And by the last price dip I decided to buy, as much as possible, with my funds, AND stake and wait. With a ROI of 5-7% its okay, and if the price goes again over 4000 sat I would be really happy.

Maybe it's just the dip before the summer, who can tell. Wink

I'm in need of help. Yobit doesn't want to credit the XMG. I deposited a long time ago, it wasn't credited and now the wallet was reactivated again with 0 balance. Anyone was able to contact Yobit? Anyone from the XMG team might solve that?

I'm never using Yobit anymore..
