I have been out of town for work, so haven't been paying attention to anything for about a week...Does anyone know what happened to Bullmining?  I had my miners running on there when I left home, and now I can't even get to their site.

Sounds like they dropped Magi because of issues after the split caused by Vit.

Sounds like they dropped Magi because of issues after the split caused by Vit.

Can confirm. A quick portscan revealed that their stratum ports are closed, and visiting their main page results in an error 404. The only thing they have running that I can see is a Webmin instance, likely for remote monitoring and administration. It looks like BullMining is done for.

For future use, I use Teamviewer on my pcs for mining. If I am away from home and a pool goes down, I can remote into my miners from my phone and change pools. Helps minimize downtime a bit.

any one know why i cant solo mine? i got it working on my windows machine  but my linux desk top it well not work no matter what setting i use i got the firewall set fot port 3232  got it port forwards and all i get is

I think minerd has a debug option Try running :

    ./minerd -D --url http://127.0.0.1:8232 --user myusername --pass mypass

the -D should put out more info to see if their is an issue

update i fianly got solo mineing working on the windows machin amd my main linux machine only way it work is runing GUI m-cpuminer-qt... m-minerd well not work for solo mining. all ready made 1.92 magi in 4 hours

If you really want to go down the path of solo mining, I'd recommend cpuminer-opt if your Dell Server (if that's what it really is) supports at least SSE2, AVX and AES on it's cpu(s). You can easily determine this with sudo lshw -class CPU.

Actually, I misread the GitHub for the program. As long as the system running it is 64-bits and supports SSE2 (which your system checks both those boxes), then you can compile the program and run it. Lines 50 to 84 of the release notes (found here: https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt/blob/master/RELEASE_NOTES#L50) explain how to compile the program on Linux, but if you're willing to wait a little bit, I'll be writing a better, human-readable version of these lines.

It may be a little bit of work to get it running, but the increased hashrate will be well worth it in my eyes.

Compiling cpuminer-opt on Ubuntu 18.04

Please, do not directly quote this message!

Step 1: Installing Dependencies

To compile and run cpuminer-opt, your system will need to download a few programs. These are mission-critical for a successful compile. The following command will download and automatically install the programs necessary:

sudo apt-get install build-essential libssl-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libjansson-dev libgmp-dev automake zlib1g-dev

Some of these programs will require that your system be updated to the latest LTS release of Ubuntu. Some versions of the programs necessary for cpuminer-opt to run are not contained in the repositories of older Ubuntu releases. You should update your system to Ubuntu 18.04 LTS if you haven't already.

Step 2: Downloading the Source Code

Execute the command below to download Version 3.8.8.1 of the program to your working directory, extract it, then change into the newly extracted folder: (execute each of these lines, one at a time)

wget https://github.com/JayDDee/cpuminer-opt/archive/v3.8.8.1.tar.gz

tar xvzf v3.8.8.1.tar.gz

cd ./cpuminer-opt-3.8.8.1

Step 3: Compiling the Program

Execute the command below to compile the program: (Again, execute each of these lines, one at a time):

./autogen.sh

CFLAGS="-O3 -march=native -Wall" ./configure --with-curl

make

If you plan on installing this to your system, make sure to change “make” to “sudo make install”, and if you encounter any issues, I'll try to remain open here to answer them to the best of my abilities. Hope this helped some!

We are continuously keeping the pool (TrasMaMod) in sync with the dev's node: 104.128.225.215
(if we are getting it out of sync, we as quickly as possible is resyncing the pool again - then few orphan blocks can happen)

But getting nearly 200xmg in 36 hours on the test wallet/blokchain is really satisfying when i'm using a potato of a machine (and 4 rpi's)

pity I'll not get coins at that rate when I'm the correct chain...
