Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Yeah - looks like the target for some whales is about 3,800 - I'll put in some buy orders a little higher =)

Why do you think target for some whales is about 3,800? Maybe 4000 or 3000 or 2000? Many people said that Bitcoin will not fall below 5,000, but now we see that this has happened.

Well done with the scheduled maintenance on Cryptopia.
It is one of the fastest maintenance of Cryptopia, which has really bad supports on upgrades of crypto projects.

I like Cryptopia - their support was great when they were much smaller - think things are more difficult for them now they support so many coins

I have a question about the coins that are still in Bittrex wallets. What will happen to them?
I see that these address continue to receive coins presumably from bots that are still mining.
I think the wallet will stay open for a finite amount of time - if that time is exceeded then I suspect that the coins will be locked away eventually - that's what happened with Polo

When you say "locked away" what do you exactly mean.

If the coins are no longer transferable from the exchange then they will be effectively locked out of the market

Interesting, still 2.4 million XMG on Bittrex and 88K on Polo.
Some wallets are still used during the last days.
