'topia is likely to reopen on a read-only basis tomorrow according to the NZ police
Cryptopia has recently been live again, but it has only allow read mode.
Log-in, then check balance. That's all stuffs they allow visitors and users of their exchange, at the moment.
It's good, generally, after very tough period due to hacks.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I'll check my balance later on - fingers crossed my Magi is still there - although you'd think it'd be the theif's number one target

Magi wallet out of sync, what's up?

Wallet was on the wrong chain.

Solved : Old chain and other nodes fixed the problem.

Staking now makes 2 XMG an hour, that's not normal.
Normally 8-10 XMG a day.

I may have lost my coins somehow.

My little Raspberry Pi has been mining for months. One day I SSHed into my RPi and noticed my magid wasn't running. When I tried to run it there was an error... possibly a segfault but I can't recall for sure.

Just the other night I decided to reinstall the wallet. I did so and launched the wallet in daemon mode. Much to my chagrin, "magid getinfo" told me I have a balance of 0. The weird thing was magid getinfo worked immediately after launching the daemon instead of telling me it was still syncing.

magid getaddresses reports the appropriate address, so it appears I have properly restored my wallet.dat file.

My magi mining was strictly for fun, and I by no means had a lot of coins. I meant for it to be a fun little project, but now my fun little project has become wondering why my balance could be 0. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your time.

I think something similar happened to me 2 days ago, wallet was still syncing some orphaned blocks, check/repairwallet didn't helped so i deleted my blocks db, peers.dat file and used blocks backup from above. I think i will backup my magi data from now Smiley

BTW i think one of the pools wallet also went other chain few days ago...

Nova exchange came back to lively tradeable months ago (around two or three months, I don't remember exactly).
Nevertheless, it is obviously that traders hesitate to come back to Nova and trade there.
It resulted in very low volume on the exchange, not only in trading pairs for MAGI, but also for others.

I might start up offering liquidity on Nova again

Need to release some funds out of cryptopia first though

Looks like I didn't lose any Magi on there until now

I think so, I saw something like it

Cryptopia UMO wallet coins being slowly moved to this new wallet - most likely reason is that its their staff making new wallets and securing the coins Smiley
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/umo/address.dws?uZfHVRDrB8QkmBhfET9GtSv7vMV11G7egS.htm

There remains 440,441.34960493 UMO in their old wallet currently.
