Each algorithm has it's own switch that must be in the joincoin.conf file you create.
For example for scrypt mining you must add the line: algo=scrypt

Make sure your wallet is not open when you make changes to the .conf file
it will not recognize the desired algo until you input it into the joincoin.conf
then open your joincoin wallet.

Firstly you are probably asking, what is Pentablake?? Here is a detailed explanation of Bastion also.
PENTABLAKE - Is a Super secure version of Blake hash. Five rounds of Blake512 (vs. 256 in standard implementation).
Only wallet mining for the time being. It will be possible to create standalone CPU and GPU miner in the future.
BASTION - Custom CPU only algorithm developed solely for Joincoin. One of the most secure hash algo out there. Designed to be ASIC and GPU resistant.
It utilizes multiple rounds of Echo, Luffa, Fugue, Whirlpool, Shabal, Skein and Hamsi (including three random rounds) plus additional round of HEFTY-1.
Bastion is the default algo for the wallet. We expect it to be a 'wallet mining only' algo for quite some time.
The aim of bastion is to allow everyone (those with no GPU farms or botnets) to participate in the coin creation process:
just by having wallet open with mining enabled ('setgenerate true' command)
Remember you can only mine one algo of your choice at a time and it must be listed in the joincoin.conf file you create.
Please note: each algo has it's own difficulty due to hash rates being very different,
all of them will equally find blocks and none are superior, you simply have every choice
unlike any coin ever before. There is no reason now to mine any other coin.
Pre Sale at C-CEX exchange:
Joincoin is going to have a pre-sale of coins to give investors who do not possess mining equipment
and wish to purchase coins at fixed market value. 1,400,000 Joincoin will be available for 15 days to purchase
on C-CEX exchange. We have reached an agreement with C-CEX to satisfy their requirements to list this pre-sale. This includes
C-CEX thoroughly analyzing our source code to ensure we have not included anything in the source that shouldn't be there,
such as hidden premines or other malicious code. C-CEX has requirements that we must wait until trading opens and wallets
are delivered before funds transfer to our team. We are discussing the option to put down a percentage of the Pre-Sale funds
to buy back coins as well for base price support.
Funds will be used for future coin development, marketing, and asic purchases. Asic btc earned will be on a public address and
will continually buy up Joincoin at fair market value. Advertising and marketing will be expanded
and more brought on after the Pre-sale completes. Joincoin cannot be dumped by miners below the ipo price or they will be mining
at a complete loss, this was by design to protect the investment of everyone in the Pre-Sale.

Hello Joincoin team and future community, I have thoroughly looked over the source of Joincoin and can attest there is no malicious code (no hidden premine, superblocks or other nasty stuff).
I have spoken to the team over the phone and had them verify identity as well. This is not C-CEX policy but they insisted before listing this coin's Pre-Sale on our exchange, if the pre-sale ends before 15 days the Joincoin team has agreed to leave a percentage of the total funds for buy support and will not receive anything until network is verified and wallets/mining start.
