There have been reports of BitcoinFaucet.at not paying out.  Anyone else experienced this?

For now I will mark it with an * and will watch it closely for a few days, and after that remove it from the list if it is engaging in the activity that some are reporting.

They finally paid out, it just takes them awhile to batch enough people together apparently: http://blockchain.info/tx/ae9671722fe2b181c24d68cdc2d4e8cefaaa247aa91392aed8117965c56bcada

From the bitcoinfaucet.at site:
"
Out of coins

Due to the increasing exchange rate and the high number of people who wanted to get free Bitcoins, this faucet is temporarily closed.
"

They had a minimum payout and so one had to let their balance build up before they could withdraw.
And now they shutdown without paying out that balance that they owed me, and many others I am sure.

Temporary or not this scam site is off the list for good!

That's a little harsh, they just sent me the balance I had accrued, which was under 0.01. It looks like they did this for everybody: http://blockchain.info/tx/95d85b8ae136c1eb45c170f905eb92157adacd5ee1c2c0fad0ea1c8cc870a555

I am not too familiar with your site. Could you answer a few questions please?

When you say a "free tournament", what does that mean?
Does that mean there is no entry fee?
Does it require member/players to risk their own money?
Is membership at your site free?
Are bitcoins/chips given for free to allow people to play in those tournaments?
Are players allowed to withdraw all their winnings afterward with no conditions?

Thank you.

I can answer that:

"Free tournament" means it's a tournament that is free to enter.

There's no entry fee.

The players don't have to deposit any of their own money at all.

Membership is free.

The winner of the hourly freeroll gets 50 chips; each chip is 1/1000th of a bitcoin; the minimum withdrawal is 100 chips, so you have to win twice before you can withdraw (or you could deposit enough to put your balance up to 100 chips, then withdraw).

The only condition is that you can't withdraw less than 100 chips at a time.  There's no requirement to play a certain amount of "real money" games before you can withdraw.

I think this qualifies as a way of getting bitcoins for free.

I tried to register for the 12pm game and it syas "Every hour three prizes will be taken offline when the current game finishes". Will it be coming back online, or will there be other free tournaments, or is this just a maintenance thing?

~~~~~~UPDATE - The 1pm game is working! (Must have been maintenance)
This list is for sites that give away free bitcoins. Yours just lists the same sites as is on this list except you make people have to go through those horrible coinurl spam links.
I noticed this comment on dailybitcoins payment page:
* Delayed payments older than 30 days
can be removed at any time.
And my delayed payments dates exactly 30 days back in time.
That is not fair!!!
They should not be removed, they should be payed out.
Anyone here know anything about this?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=32532.msg1735768#msg1735768
Not fair indeed.
That sucks bigtime.  I will try to make a note about it in the list when I can...
Entry updated with a warning:
Daily Bitcoins
Warning: payment stats older than 30 days will be deleted. See more here.
That is pretty horrible. You encourage people to delay their payments and then just up and delete those stats, so you don't have to payout, after only 30 days.
With such tiny payouts it is hard to build up much in just 1 month.
I am pretty sure I did ( it was submitted before ) and found it didn't payout... which is why it is not on the list.
That is pretty horrible. You encourage people to delay their payments and then just up and delete those stats, so you don't have to payout, after only 30 days.
Sorry, but Daily Bitcoins is a business entity, not a charitable organization. We make payouts from advertising income which can significantly fall during these 30 days and we cannot afford to pay in own loss.
These conditions are clearly stated, so you must not have any reason to complain.
With such tiny payouts it is hard to build up much in just 1 month.
Minimum payout is just 10 booby prizes (or 1-2 custom prizes). I don't think it is so much!
