Can i ask a question ?
Who are the owners of the coin ? Phantom?? And what right he has to remove the halcoindev (just asking) . And what why is the coin algo being changed ?

I am not a fudder ... and i have no intention of fudding ... am just asking ... I am a supporter of this coin ... plz can some one answer me

Thank u

There are no owners. It isn't a bank or something. It's the community who decides where to go. The previous dev did nothing for HAL after September in fact. It doesn't really matter why. We need a dev who can do the job. I found a good dev and he agreed to make the next release for HAL. When it's done and open for public use, he will speak for himself.

And...? Delisting will be happening real soon if nothing changes like immediately...

The last news I heard it was 80% ready. The dev is finishing another higher priority project now and will release HAL after. There are two separate algorithms implemented, one for PoW and another for PoS. The first one is NeoScrypt, so prepare your miners. I'm sure the new wallet will be released this week.

Your coins are safe. This is an evolutionary process, not "let's blow up everything and build it up again from scratch".

The current price is a joke. You can't buy even 1% of the coin supply at this price. It takes 2 BTC to get listed on Bittrex or another popular exchange, that much at least for basic coding without any exclusive features and a few more BTC to pay for servers, design, promotion, etc. It takes more than 10 BTC to make a market moving coin like HAL was in August. You see it costs $5K now, that's 14 BTC. Folks here pay more for an average scammy ICO.

The previous dev should have said clearly 2 months ago that he isn't in position to do coin development due to absense of skills or time or whatever. It would save us all a lot of frustration and we could get this coin under a better management much earlier without any delisting threats and so on.

This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on December 19th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.2 BTC.

3D Printing and Bitcoin, that's pretty cool.

The dev said he finished with the wallet on this weekend. Going to release it on Monday with a switch time by the next weekend. Should be good enough.

Do you know how many coins will be in POW phase and how many in total?

I've fixed this coin. The new discussion thread: [ANN] Halcyon v1.1.0.0 ~ Hard Fork to NeoScrypt at Block #160K

The PoW phase never ends. It is important to keep it going for security reasons and many others.

There are 80% PoS blocks and 20% PoW blocks. One PoS block every 2.5 minutes and one PoW block every 10 minutes.

The PoW block reward is fixed at 5 HAL forever. The PoS block reward is 300% for the 1st 130K blocks (half a year), 200% for the next 130K blocks and 100% for the entire life. Limited to 5 HAL per block to deal with excessive inflation and rogue stakers. The minimal coin age for staking is 0.5 days, the maximal is 7 + 0.5 = 7.5 days.

This coin is a clear example of the bullshit that is the altcoin market. A couple months ago this coin was THE NEXT BIG thing. All the "whales" were hyping the shit out of it.  SSD was another one. such a fucking joke.  Im not saying the coins are bad in any way, just pointing out how fucked the market is.

Dead coins look far worse. I know the dev has plans for it. Those with large holdings in HAL should communicate and work out a strategy.
