Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

So what happens if Shadow tokens end up on an exchange? Is there any way for that to happen without the exchange wallet generating a stealth address?

That might be a good way to enhance the privacy even further, if someone was doing direct conversions from Shadow tokens to something else.

Try ShadowCash, the first coin with instant and decentralized private transactions!

we are kicking that around, allowing a sdt exchange as well. would allow for an interesting market.

Shadow Tokens are like SDC only private. They are 1:1

SDC is a public token traceable and linkable on the blockchain
SDT is a private token untraceable and unlinkable on the blockchain

This would be really interesting to see in action.

has anyone gotten the SDC client to work on Ubuntu?

I had to place my coins on an exchange cause i no longer have my desktop (windows) to stake. Having trouble setting it up on my chromebook c7 running ubuntu. I have the Bitcoin (& have gotten the XC client) working on my current laptop w/ Ubuntu. Not sure what Im doing wrong for SDC.

Google translate:
Afrikaans: Ek sal jou donder!   >> I'll thunder!

Remember where Ryno is from (and several other team members)

Guys that is a literal translation...

Google translate sucks for sayings.

It literally means "I'll fuck you up"...it's a threat.

Search google for "Ek sal jou donder!", and you'll see.  Gotta take things in context!

Here is an interesting talk on ZeroCash at the recent MIT Bitcoin Expo (4h15m mark): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=96ULlHhia_Q&feature=youtu.be&t=4h15m8s

I thought it was interesting and relevant to the Shadow Project in some ways.  It seems like ShadowCash has some similarities in the minting scheme as well as the scheme for preventing double spends.  The video also touches upon non-interactive zero knowledge proofs, as well as zkSNARKS.
