Sparkbit seems interesting, never heard of it before now though. Nxt is alright, glad i was given some for transaction fees, that is the only major negative for me, the 1 nxt fee to do anything. I like the concept, just different from what i have used in the past.

Damn it! I shoulda bit the bullet and purchased a little more silver when it was stupid low yesterday. Oh wellers!

@sirsmokes honestly can't believe the bottom is in yet. Japan is going to devalue the yen as much as possible, then the Euro, the dollar will also chase. As the stuff hits the fan, I can't believe that the manipulation will stop. A variable I see in the mix is a golden Ruble, but who knows? We're in such uncharted territory...

IMZ-Mark asked that I offer my opinion on the wallets:  Well, Nxt doesn't work for me, but I found a workaround.  Nxt shouldn't be going away, and I've heard of it, so I think it's fine for a Phase II, and I'm ok (blah) about using it for a while.

I do not want to go into Coinspark/Sparkbit, because I tend to be annoyingly retro at times, and it's a brand new idea to me.  I'd give Sparkbit 10% chance of success to Nxt's 90% chance for our current Phase II purposes, just as a shoot-from-the-hip off-the-cuff reaction.

I think we should continue to look for an alternative, and evaluate what comes up, but stay committed to Nxt for a while.  Since no DVC have been traded, though, I'm still open to changing everything, if the community agrees.

New UNO merge-mined sidechain or something that does the trick?  (I don't really like the dillution of this, either.)

Folks' problems with the Nxt wallet are clearly genuine. Ian and I are dismayed. But there are good reasons to use the Nxt wallet -- such as if we launch a third currency in a couple of years, it will be in the same wallet. And security on Nxt wallets -- as Edgar discovered -- is easy.a

I got my DVC today. It suddenly seems quite real.

I put in a test buy order for 1 DVC for 95 NXT, just to further my learning. Don't take offense to the low offer.  It's every Nxt I own!

I'm still feeling my way with NXT.  Does anyone know if it's possible to exchange Nxt-based assets directly, without going directly back to Nxt?  I/e exchange Nxtty for DVC?
It would be interesting to establish a Uno-equivalent on NXT (i/e issue Nxt-Uno coupons that tie back to the Uno blockchain) and trade it for DVC.

Mark, can I contribute some Uno to help defray your cost for issuing the DVC asset?

iMPORTANT NOTE:

Don't buy or sell DVC on SAE!!!

Guys, we are using DVC legitimately; but we are using it in a different framework. DVC is an exclusive coin. It lives on Un-Ex.

If someone lists one for sale on the SAE (Nxt's exchange for all these assets), and then someone buys it . . . then that coin has passed beyond our trust-network. It's effectively lost.

What happens, FK, is that an asset is launched on the SAE – so it’s an Nxt coloured coin – and then, if it prospers, some smartie writes the bit of code that allows it to be traded for Bitcoin or other on an ‘outside’ exchange.

If you check the Assets section of Coinmarketcap, you will find that a range of Nxt assets have ‘made the jump’ to Poloniex, etc, where they are traded ‘BTC/Asset’
