MODs are NOT user-transferable. You need Chris to transfer it for you.
Thanks AizenSou, wasn't aware of that..!

Multi will be performed tomorrow. The site will be taken down for a few hours, after that it's done. Simple. No one knows about the specific time except Chris .

It's tempting but I'll wait for two weeks for payouts before I might start buying in more, maybe even closer to the next multiplication. There is always the general risk to take into account

A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator, an individual or organization, pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned by the operator.

A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator, an individual or organization, pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned by the operator.
That's the big question and it is still left open. We know there were FPGA miners at some point and some physical hardware was sold. It appears that at least some of the LTC/BTC used for payments are coming directly from mining pools. LTCgear has in the past accepted paypal for shares despite the risk of charge backs. I have not been able to find anyone who has spoken directly to 'Chris' but that is not unprecedented given the grey area that large mining operations live in. The marketing tactics of using affiliates and creating a sense of scarcity are common marketing practices in both legitimate and illegitimate business models. If we compare the marketing tactics of other cloud mining operations, LTCgear seems a bit tamer than the competitors. The cost of scrypt mining hardware has fallen to the point that LTCgear shares are not 'crazy' low prices and maybe they never were. Maybe this points as much to the toxic environment of exploitative and monopolistic mining hardware companies as anything else. This is my take on this question. Otherwise, yes we are all well aware and concerned about ponzi schemes when it comes to Bitcoin related businesses.

Isn't it strange that the site hasn't been offline during this whole day? While there was a multiplication scheduled by 'Chris'?

Multiplications are rescheduled or delayed without rescheduling multiple times, it has always been like that. One would guess it must be a script which takes just 5 minutes, simply multiply all shares by 1.xx. But apparently it takes some manual work for Chris.
I got used to it.. Certainly no reason to be worried.

I'm still worried. This is the day where we find out if it's a ponzi for the next 45 days
