  I think, from structure of the "internet" in Europe,
all European countries on the continent are working good with the german base.
But for the UK & Ireland I think the USA base is quicker.
All cables from the continent goes manly first to the UK.

Thanks for testing. Seems the DE pool may turn out to be popular. I'm about to restart the DE pool but it's usually a graceful handover and minor blip only so you'll probably won't notice anything unless you're watching the consoles.

I can't vouch for the stability of the German pool at this stage. The current solo pool VPS provider has been rock solid and I pay a premium for its performance and stability so I'd still consider the DE pool only in testing until it proves itself under more serious loads. So far it's only servicing about 5 shares per second to 24 workers whereas solo is servicing 250 shares per second to 1300 workers.

I checked now the ping times of the de server and the solo server from my location
in the south/west of germany.
The result is half the time using the de server then.
solo.ckpool.org 199 mS
de.ckpool.org 47.2 mS

mtr reports 8 hops with 0% Loss on de.ckpool.org
and 13 hops with 2 times 10% loss on solo.ckpool.org

If somebody is intrested in those things.
