What will the fee be starting February? 1%, 2%?
1% in February, 2% when block reward halves unless the value of BTC rises dramatically between now and then. sounds reasonable to me.

I wonder what is going to happen to the hash rate after the halving? Is it still going to be profitable for the large farms?
That is a question nobody will know until it happens and the ripple effects afterwards. Another Network Difficulty increase It was at 103G, now an extra 10G was added on to make it 113G Network Difficulty, I wonder what Bitcoin Block Reward Halving will bring come June this year. Probably the same as it did last time ... not much. Last time difficulty rose for the last couple of weeks as everyone tried to mine the last few 50BTC blocks and then it gradually dropped over about a couple of months. The value of BTC didn't show any correlation with either the difficulty or the halving of the block, moving independently of each of them. Then we returned to difficulty paralleling BTC value in its delayed fashion the way it always has. I'm expecting much the same this time.

I got in to this game a little too late to ever see anything with this difficulty. I can't afford to contend with the big boys. I doubt the difficulty will go down enough to find a block on my S3+ even after the halving. I got one for the heck of it just to see what happens. Had I known about bitcoin before last August I might have gotten somewhere I hope some other SHA-256 will be worth mining later.

WTF are you talking about? You guys were extremely lucky as it was and were one of the only groups to solve blocks without donating anything back to the pool other than the mandatory fee. What exactly do you want from me? Exactly why you should raise your % . I dont understand why anyone that finds a block wouldn't tip you, let alone a few blocks . That's unbelievable really....

Just my 2 cents: Revise the fee frequently, 1-2% is a pittance, and it should be spent with precision. A moving percentage depending on the (price * reward)/difficulty should be established, so the pool keeps itself alive and the miners don't feel they're being ripped off because petty reasons (not that i feel that way, ck's has one of the lowest fees around).

I agree, adjust your fees so you dont need to rely on tips especially if some people dont give them even when they've been very lucky .

I take it as CK not being a greedy person and leaving people with their winnings to make a choice whether to share a portion or not. I would guess CK might have a miner or 2 as well and tries to get lucky finding a block, but decided to share a pool with the rest of us. Maybe? Maybe not. I could be wrong?

1% in February, 2% when block reward halves unless the value of BTC rises dramatically between now and then. Specifically I will actually be implementing the pool update/restart with the new fee on January 31st for my local time (UTC+10) in approximately 20 hours from now so that I can ensure it's up and running smoothly before other work commitments on Monday.

Just paid off the initial investment of the miners and then some. I will be donating to -ck when the block is released. Thank you kano and -ck for this opportunity. Maybe I will do this once a month now, take my earnings from kano's pool and throw it at -ck's solo pool hah, who knows could happen again.

I rent from nicehash.com. They seem to have the best prices, sometimes it gets high, but still generally better than others unless you rent from EU. I run x4 Avalon 6's on kano.is though and am pretty new myself.
