All of our current services will be migrating to TOP v2 after it is released.  We will also be picking up where we left off on building the Crypto Center, to bring more practical tools to the TOP community.

Quick history, and part of why we needed to roll out v2 - TopCoin was released on 2.2.14 and was one of the pioneers of a rapid distribution PoW model, however we did not foresee the network issues we would face after the majority of coins were mined.  Mining was not profitable after a certain point, and the hashes disappeared.  At a certain point, it was apparent that only a couple of us were holding up the network.  

Time passed and the price of TopCoin kept falling, even though we were building more and more services for it.  Then, as I was buying coins up from those who I thought were dumping their stash of TOP, learminer commented on a post of mine - letting me know that TopCoin was distributing 1 million coins per block again.  The team drew together and decided instead of do a messy rollback of a coin that was already falling apart, that we would just let the second distribution phase finish and we would build v2.  There were some community members that were upset with our decision, but overall it was greeted with a positive attitude and excitement.  The coin as it was could not have sustained, and now we are better positioned for the future, especially since we already have an arsenal of services that we intend to add to.

Yes, this is why topcoin v2 distributed, but the strange thing to me is, I saw the subject of this thread is topcoin v3, can anyone explain it? It is suggested that these histories could be posted in a link. That looks more simple for people to know top.

Website is up in a very basic fashion.  I wanted to at least get the download links up, and direct people back to our forum here.  I am open to anyone who would like to help with suggestions or whatever.  Just keep in mind, what is there is a rough draft.

Anyone a Linux genius here?  I have the TOP wallet running on two Linux hosts, and would like to package the wallet for download.  Could someone test for me?  I have it running on Ubuntu versions 14.04 and 16.04 x64.

Hi, I sent a pm on the 23rd about my old wallet file coming up with the error message and haven't had a response. Figured you'd be busy over Christmas. But yeah, keen to get back on the topcoin train!

I got locked out of my old account here and had to create a new one so the message came up with the classic "newbie warning". May have been a deterrent..

And there is a warning: error reading wallet.dat! All keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect. And than I press ok button and it crashes. He said i have to download the topcoin v1 wallet but the download link he gave me is dead. Does anyone have a mirror or can upload the old v1 wallet?

Syncing is really slow even with added config file. Everytime i open it starts syncing from 50% on even tho it almost finished syncing last time.
