I trust blockchain.info. The security of your wallet totally depends on you.
Yesterday is a good example of why you should not trust in blockchain alone. They were down... what if you needed to get in? A paperwallet of the account is kinda important for issues like that. With a paperwallet you could have put it in another wallet and used it even when blockchain was down. It's honestly hard to beat cold paper wallet. Yes. Blockchain.info is well known for it's frequent down times. But the good thing is we have full control over our private keys which is more useful if we are capable of importing private keys into some other wallets. |

Yes bitcoin-qt has all the security features we needed. Now the newer version of it namely bitcoin-core is available with the version 0.11.1 with latest fixes. So, we must always go with latest one. Online wallets also safer when we go with latest version of browser. |

Yes bitcoin-qt has all the security features we needed. Now the newer version of it namely bitcoin-core is available with the version 0.11.1 with latest fixes. So, we must always go with latest one. Online wallets also safer when we go with latest version of browser. Everything you use you should be very careful. Because if you use the same password anywhere else you provoke a hacker. Online wallets are good too, but if they get closed or offline you can't access your bitcoins. |

What if the hacker captures all the private key by changing the script(with wallets like greenaddress.it where private key is never sent to server)? For desktop wallet, password reuse isn't a significant problem as they cannot access your Bitcoins without your encrypted private key. |

Well ok then greenaddress seems to be one of the best web wallets. For example coinbase does not allow you to have the private key. If they have any maintenance or they go offline, then you can't access your bitcoin. |

Blockchain is a very nice wallet for spending money, that is what it shines doing. Storing large sums of BTC over a long period of time is where cold wallets really shine. |

I wouldn't say that if I were you. Blockchain.info should not even be considered as a wallet. It is too unreliable these days. If you're going for one, go for greenaddress.it. Even though most think that greenaddress.it has a long seed to remember, it is harder to remember the identifier on blockchain.info. Both also have an android app. |

Personally i think there is none 100% safe wallet, before i used blockchain.info but aftet they whent down some days ago i changed to bitcoin core and i like it much more than blockchain.info

Since the brainwallet addresses were able to be cracked, I really believe that there isn't any 100% safe wallet. Soon i will order a hardware wallet maybe Trezor and will see if it worth or not. |

Since the brainwallet addresses were able to be cracked, I really believe that there isn't any 100% safe wallet. Soon i will order a hardware wallet maybe Trezor and will see if it worth or not. Brainwallet wasn't secure in the first place. It was already known that it can be easily bruteforced by running a dictionary against it as many used a weak passphrase. The release of this program further demonstrated the ease of running a bruteforce attack. Most online wallet don't generate wallet this way so you're safe. |

I use XAPO's wallet for daily spending, just because of the debit card linked to it. I can pay directly from my bitcoin wallet, thru VISA's system. They have a so called cold storage as well (vault, and they say that it's insured somehow). But if I would have a really lots of bitcoin I would have use a phisical cold storage. I don't know if it would be paper wallet or Trezor kind, but I hope that in the near future I have to think about this dilemma  |
