MUE News Update

MUE has been added to the BIP44 registry maintained by Satoshi Labs.

I have created 3 Electrum servers for our various uses. I have been working on new wallet options that utilize these services, including:

Coinomi wallet support. Coinomi is a nice light universal wallet for Android. I have made a PR to coinomi and await their comment/merge.
If you would like to test the Coinomi wallet with added MUE support, please feel free to clone our repo and build it, or download and install our unofficial Coinomi-dev apk.

Our electrum servers run on the default ports at:

This wallet is a 6 party wallet, that requires 3 of the MUE team party to sign before any funds are released.

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY

MonetaryUnit was set up to offer an alternative to the seemingly endless release of scammy over hyped altcoins flooding the market.
The release, 26th July 2014, was done in a humble, open and transparent way, designed to deter bots and pump and dumpers, and try to attract sincere people interested in a new idea for an altcoin.
With initially very low block rewards, increasing slowly but surely over several months, and with a large pre-mine, all of which was intended to show this project was about long term sustainability.
The pre-mine has been completely and openly distributed, and also partially sold as an ICO to fund MUE projects and the coin is truly "in the wild".

40 coins are generated every 40 seconds on average, creating ~86,400 coins every 24 hours. MonetaryUnit is very much meant to reflect today’s fiat financial system, and in that respect it is never too late to get involved.
Over the next few years inflation will settle to a healthy and sustainable 3-4% per year, which means long term there is only a very humble degradation in value of peoples MUE.
In response to this humble inflation, available now is www.MUEBank.com offering savings accounts with 6.5% APR on their deposited savings.  Whilst some may argue this is against the "decentralised" nature of crypto currencies, we would argue that we value our community and want to offer value added services to them.

We have active technical development lead by @UpgradeAdvice, and have launched our own "in house" android wallet.  We are also actively developing and migrating current systems provided by previous 3rd party providers "in house", such as the multi-OS software wallet, block explorer chain.MUEwallet.com, Paper wallet generator www.MUEaddress.org  and our own co-pay based web wallet www.MUEwallet.com, which includes multisig options amongst others. 
With several payment processors and merchants accepting MonetaryUnit ( http://www.monetaryunit.org/muestuff/merchants-and-retailers/ ), we are building a strong foundation from which to grow this coin into maturity, wider exposure and adoption.

1 year down the road from starting the MUE journey, I am happy with what has been achieved so far, and with this continuing forward momentum I think there will be plenty more to see with increased exposure and adoption, more services and infrastructure and this will be reflected in the long term price.

MUE price will never reach $5-$10 per coin, ever..however...yes it is a very under valued crypto and it is a very good time to buy and invest.

We have always aimed our first big price hurdle to hit around $0.004-$0.008 per coin...and build from there...still a way to go, but we are working hard on building the solid infrastructure to head towards that goal

Just to let you guys know, I'm having serious trouble getting transactions confirmed on the MUE network. Either there is a problem with dust collection in big wallets or there is a malicious pool on the network which is mining blocks without incooperating transactions into the new mint blocks.

I'm shutting Suprnova's MUE pool permanently due to these issues and because there is no hash for weeks on MUE.

Please stop minining immediately and (try to) withdraw your funds asap.
